Dwayne Bowe Stat Tracker - Week 4

We'll check in each week to see how Dwayne Bowe is measuring up against others in his draft class. Through Week 4...

5 Anthony Gonzalez IND WR 6 107 17.8 26.8 24 0 -- 3 0 4 66.7 0

Not only is D-Bowe tied for the rookie lead in receptions but he is helping his team infinitely more with his fifteen first downs. The Chiefs haven't seen a receiver like this...well in forever.

Nice list
I am actually surprised by his production thus far. I think the D-Bowe, Jones, and Johnson when he gets healthy will be the three best receivers from this draft.  It will be interesting to see how the compare at the end of the season.
D. Bowe Show.
i remember a scene in Hard Knocks when Bowe, Kennison and Waters were walking to the practice field and Kennison and Waters touted Bowe's impressive scouting report, but ended it with, "But he's not a Calvin Johnson."

He isn't Johnson...Bowe is better. at least for now. Bowe can do a lot. Long passes, short drops, crossover patterns...you name it.

props to Edwards and Peterson for selecting two solid first rounders--Hali and Bowe.

The last 2 drafts
have been pretty good in all rounds...who expects a 7th round pick to start in his 2nd year?  Page is already proving to be a steal and will only improve.  Both Pollard and Hali are coming along and Tank and Turk have already been involved this season.  Other than Croyle (TBD) and the Medlock thing, Edwards has been much better at drafting than Vermeil was.  I hope they continue their successful drafting with 1 or 2 O-linemen and maybe a CB (Left tackle or CB would be a nice 1st round pick).
Drafting a 7th round safety
and having him start in his second year is crazy. Fantastic job by the Chiefs draft team.
And just think
he considered playing baseball...good thing he followed in Gonzalez' footsteps and chose football
Did you read that Bowe article?
I though it was great. Bill Reiter is a good guy over at the Star.
