Here are some links to check out this morning. Back in a bit, talking stats.
- It's about time to start talking about the Bucs. SBN's Buc 'Em has the grades for last week's contest against the Cowboys.
- Adam at AA breaks down what's happening in the once-proud AFC West.
- Wow. The Bucs haven't traveled to Arrowhead in 22 years.
- BobGretz.com reports that Larry Johnson has left Kansas City to head to New York to meet with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell today. That's not a bad conversation starter- What kind of suspension, if any, will Larry Johnson receive?
- The Orlando Sentinel blog seems to be a pretty solid place to get your Bucs news this week as well.
- Here is a touching video about Devard Darling and the brother he lost.
Another one
From Whitlock.

hmmmm....
words cannot simply express my thoughts on what I just read…

If there were still any doubt ...
If there were still any doubt that Jason Whitlock is impressive for the simple fact that, for the most part, he can somehow manage to dress himself, that column is the evidence of it as absolutely nothing else about it was even close to being in touch with reality.

Irrelevant
Looks like he wrote that before Culpepper said he wasn’t coming or the Chiefs said they weren’t interested.

After watching the Bucs/Cowboys game on Sunday
I noticed that TB’s right tackle Jeremy Trueblood(sp) had alot of trouble sustaining blocks, so hopefully Tamba can take full advantage of this. I also feel that they will run the ball on us all day long, with Earnest Graham and if healthy Warrick Dunn. Does anybody else get a Titans game feeling about this one?

Overheard phone conversation
Herm: Hi
Herman: Is that Herm?
Herm: Yes, who is this?
Herman: My name is also Herm, but most people call me coach, I coach a team out in Kansas.
Herm: Weird, so do I. How can I help?
Herman: Well I heard you used to coach our next opponents the Bucs and want an inside scoop.
Herm: I see…
Herman: Wel

Lacks a punchline. :)
UCrawford - October 28, 2008
Lacks an offensive line too but who’s counting?
sir eccles - October 28, 2008
Kansas City...
is in Missouri.
I’m lost.
ashleylat - October 28, 2008
Sir Eccles is fin New York
So don’t blame him if he’s out of touch with reality.
Joel Thorman - October 28, 2008
Ahhh New York
Maine is lovely this time of year.
ashleylat - October 28, 2008
I Went To Maine Once
It snowed in the middle of May, everything was ungodly expensive, and the government taxes everyone into poverty. Aside from Portland (which I did enjoy) I have no idea why anyone would want to live there.
UCrawford - October 28, 2008
And by 'New York' ...
Do you actually mean ‘New Jersey’ like the Jets and the Giants do … ?
JacinB - October 28, 2008
Heh
Good one. :)
UCrawford - October 28, 2008
Eww New Jersey ick
I’m British too so I get easily confused by what bit is in Kansas and what bit is in Missouri.
sir eccles - October 28, 2008
You're British?
What region?
UCrawford - October 28, 2008
Various
I lived all over the place but grew up in Manchester mostly.
sir eccles - October 28, 2008
I Lived In Harrogate For A Few Years
Used to go to Manchester every once in awhile when I got bored with Harrogate and Leeds or when I was catching a flight to the States. Were you a Man U or Man City supporter? :)
UCrawford - October 28, 2008
Oh you poor thing
Sorry you had to live in Yorkshire.
I lean towards City, my parents lean towards Utd. My brother in law is a Liverpool supporter and my uncle Spurs. So I think I’m in a minority there.
sir eccles - October 28, 2008
I Liked Being A Temporary Yorkshireman
Even if it meant that I occasionally had to suffer derision from arrogant Mancunians. :) Seriously, though, North Yorkshire was a nice area to live. I enjoyed my time there a lot. The lifestyle was about how I liked it…laid back but not boring. And I especially liked having all of the pubs within a 10-15 minute walk from my house.
I was a Liverpool fan myself (had some friends from there and just kind of fell in with the team over time). The 2005 Champions League final and the 2006 FA Cup final were the two greatest football games I’ve ever seen played. Steven Gerrard is a god (although Robbie Fowler is still "God"). :)
UCrawford - October 28, 2008
So
Did Man City trade away Joey Barton? Thought I heard that they did. Haven’t kept up with the Premiership as much since I moved back. Heard they hired Sven Goran Erikkson…couldn’t believe that an English club would take him back after the mess he made of the national team.
UCrawford - October 28, 2008
I should have just written one reply
Sven now coaches Mexico.
Man City were bought by Saudi gazilianaires and are coached by ex Man Utd hero Mark Hughes.
I think Barton plays for Newcastle Utd now.
sir eccles - October 28, 2008
Barton Was A Thug Anyway
He’s better off in Newcastle…it’s a good place for underachievers because they never win anything anyway so the fans can’t tell the difference. :)
Hadn’t heard about Man City being bought. Hopefully Hughes will do a good job for them. Although I thought they were hasty getting rid of Stuart Pearce…always thought he was a decent manager and couldn’t believe they pushed him out for Sven.
UCrawford - October 28, 2008
Wasen't Man City acquired by a Thailander?

No Argument There
Castleford sucks. I was always glad I didn’t live in West Yorkshire.
UCrawford - October 28, 2008
Although
The ugliest place I saw in the U.K. was still Inverness. Went up there for a bachelor party and we all went to one of the pubs. The best looking woman in the place had a mullet and a giant tumor on her neck. The second best looking one weighed at least 250 pounds. I don’t think any of them had more than half their teeth.
Thought I’d somehow ended up in the Ozarks. :)
UCrawford - October 28, 2008
Nods
Spent a year in Dundee, say no more.
sir eccles - October 28, 2008
I Got Really Drunk In Dundee One Weekend
Broke up with a girlfriend and decided to drive to some random spot on the map to see what was out there. Ended up getting drunk with a nuclear physicist and some guy who helped clone Dolly the sheep. Very interesting night. As far as the women went, compared to Inverness, Dundee was Super Model Central. :)
UCrawford - October 28, 2008
Kinda looks like SBN
needs to introduce an instant messaging button LOL :)
Lanier63 - October 28, 2008
No way
I’m meant to be working as it is.
