Maybe it's just the video quality but Arrowhead sounds pathetic in this clip from last weekend.
The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Buffalo Bills this week. Make sure you check out Buffalo Rumblings for more information. They have a very active community over there so our FanPost exchange should be great.
Chiefs fans laugh at your measly five four game losing streak.
I know it's fantasy football respect but we gotta take it where we can get it.

Regarding Your Link On The Other 1-18 Teams
Their first commenter had the best observation on it…one that several Herm and Carl critics have pointed out repeatedly only to be shouted down as “haters”.
Every team on the list that had success realized that in order to make their team a winner they had to get rid of the guys who built it into a loser first. And Carl’s been here for the entire decline and Herm’s been around here long enough to have had an effect on this squad and shoulder plenty of the blame for their losing ways.

There's a lot of evidence
for that. I’m coming a touch UC.

Haha, that's what she said.

Nice :)

UC
would you be happy if Peterson left after this season and we kept Herm? (“happy” is probably the wrong word)
I guess my question is, do you think Peterson or Herm is the bigger problem?
PVChiefsfan - November 18, 2008
Peterson
Because he’s had enough of fans money for the last 19 years. Then get another GM in and he can decide whether to keep Herm or do a real “rebuild”.
I don’t care much for either, but Peterson has petered out his welcome.
THE_TRUTH - November 18, 2008
I Think They're Both The Problem
The only way I see it changing is if we clean house (like the Cowboys did when they fired Tom Landry and Tex Schramm to bring in Jimmy Johnson). If you’re asking which I think is the worse of two evils, I’d say it’s Peterson. The problems with this franchise stem primarily from his ineptitude (because he’s the one who was responsible for hiring everyone and bringing in all of these players, after all). So a new GM who holds people accountable for results should be the biggest priority (we haven’t had that with Peterson for over a decade). But that’s not to say that Herm will suddenly improve with a new GM…frankly I think he’s just a rotten football coach and he’d be a rotten football coach no matter who the GM is. But if we hire a new GM and don’t get rid of Herm right away I’d be okay with that…for a little while.

I hate to say this
…but the majority of the fans at Arrowhead aren’t/weren’t “regulars”. By that I mean Season ticket holders or those that have been to the game numerous times. I would venture to guess the majority really haven’t been to many (if any) games.
A LOT of season tickets are being sold for next to nothing and I know a few people that have literally given them away as “thank you’s”. They have a raffel at work for Big Bro’s/Sisters that give away Chiefs tickets and the winner decided to golf this weekend instead and no one took his tickets.
But, OTOH Clark can’t hear the poor cheering in the muffled luxury suite.
THE_TRUTH - November 18, 2008
Not in our section...
We’re still surrounded by all the regulars. Its just hard to get over the top roudy for a shitty team. I’ve taken the approach that I’m just scouting this team each week, I don’t expect them to win but I hope see progress in certain players.
HIV 2 Elway - November 18, 2008
I hate to admit it...
…but my season-ticket holding family lives 2-3 hours away from the stadium (I’m in Lincoln, NE, and they’re in Junction City, KS), and frankly, it’s not worth it to drive 2.5 hours, spend $
432 a gallon on gas, watch a pathetic performance, go out to eat, and then drive another 2.5 hours on a Sunday, especially with finals coming up and all. I agree with ya, here. It’s like we’re scouting this team, and if that’s the case, why not do it in my boxers, on my couch, with a hot bowl of not-expensive chilli in my hand? Also, I can Fast Forward through commercials and occasionally switch over to watch the Cowboys self-destruct. It’s a great Sunday for me.Things aren’t going well, but guys, we’re getting better, and I’m excited to see ’em again.

"Chiefs fans laugh at your measly five game losing streak."
"The Bills, once 5-1 on the season, now find themselves 5-5, losers of their last four games
=)
PVChiefsfan - November 18, 2008
We're still better then them at losing...phah..4 games...
How about the last 16 games? Bet we have a better losing record. Tell the Bills to go shove it and not think they’re better then us at losing…those *uh LOSERSS *uh
THE_TRUTH - November 18, 2008
Thanks
I guess I found it tough to subtract 1 from 5.
Chris Thorman - November 18, 2008
Thigpen
By the way, I was heartbroken that I missed out on him as my waiver claim last week. The guy I was playing this week was just ahead of me in waiver priority and snagged him. My fault for bringing another Chiefs fan who pays attention to the team into that league. :)
UCrawford - November 18, 2008
And
I had to make due with Brady Quinn this week and I’ve got to say that Quinn looks nowhere near as good as a pro QB as Thigpen does. He looks better than Croyle (only because of the durability) but he also doesn’t seem to be able to throw deep very well, nor does he have a lot of touch on his passes. He looked absolutely terrible, even after a long week to prepare. I think he may very well end up being a bust.
So what should that tell us about Carl Peterson’s ability to judge QB talent when he liked Quinn enough to draft him and trade for him even though he had a better prospect already on his roster. Just something to think about heading into our 2009 draft, where we’ll likely be selecting another QB.
UCrawford - November 18, 2008
I disagree about Quinn
I think after 2 games he’s doing pretty well. I liked that he looked comfortable on the field albeit his line was horrendous and barely gave him any time in the pocket whatsoever. It was snap, drop and pass in a matter of 2 seconds.
I wouldn’t call him a bust at all. Matter of fact I think that his passes were right on for the most part. However I would say give him at least until the end of the year and wouldn’t call him a bust until then. He also hasn’t had an INT although he did come close last night. I was impressed that at the end of the game the Browns didn’t fall apart ESPECIALLY since they didn’t have home field advantage.
I don’t like the Bills…never have.
But…..Kawika looked really good. I wonder if we could get a pass rushing caliber player like him on the Chiefs….oops, nevermind ;)
THE_TRUTH - November 18, 2008
He Might Turn It Around
But that’s two games now where he had trouble throwing anything deep. His best receiver in his first start was Kellen Winslow and he barely targeted Braylon Edwards at all…despite playing against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. He looks like a guy who has trouble with his downfield accuracy.
I’ve just got this growing suspicion that we’ll soon be hearing the same kind of excuses for Brady Quinn that people trotted out for Brodie Croyle (can’t throw deep because of his line, he just isn’t being allowed to throw deep, he can’t develop rhythm with his receivers because of factors that are entirely beyond his control). But we’ll see.
UCrawford - November 18, 2008
And Yes
Kawika did an excellent job last night. He had a good game. Too bad his team’s QB completely screwed things up for them. Now Trent Edwards…that’s a guy who definitely needs to see the bench for awhile if the Bills want to break their losing streak.
UCrawford - November 18, 2008
Kawika
No no… see we draft LBs right before we change our defensive system. That way they no longer “fit” the defense we run so we let them go. Look at Edwards, Fujita, and yes Kawika; you can’t really expect the team to keep players especially young LBs that we drafted if they no longer fit the defense. =)
I think the problem with our D is that we are trying to smash square pegs into round holes. Herm needs to give Gun the freedom to change the D to fit the personel we have and dump the system we are running.
tevans96 - November 18, 2008
The problem is
that Herm is Defensive minded coach and I don’t think he’d relinquish that to Gun.
THE_TRUTH - November 18, 2008
That is why I don't blame Gun
I feel Herm dictates what kind of D to run and Gun is trying but doesn’t really have the personel to run it. One of the keys to the type of D Herm likes is pass rush, and we just don’t have it so we should try something else.
tevans96 - November 18, 2008
He's the first Chiefs (including Tony, Priest, or LJ) I've ever acquired and started in a fantasy league. Ever.
If the Chiefs lose and we play poorly, it’s a double whammy. Think of it as a way to hedge my bets and still have a reason to watch football on Sunday. Or at least a rooting interest.

I Grabbed Mark Bradley
And I drafted Dwayne Bowe, although I stupidly traded him away when I could have used the depth on my bench (D-Bowe’s been a solid fantasy performer, but he’s not doing better than Larry Fitzgerald or Megatron).
