Thanks to him I owe my love for the Chiefs! Its too bad he couldn’t play till he was 50 like he wanted to, the guy is money from under 40. Unfortunately, he can’t kick any further than that.

He looked for work all season but nobody wanted to sign him because of his age and the length on his kickoffs. He dosn’t have an injury.

I was just thinking about Video Bo this morning. :) Jason Elam, John Carney, and Matt Stover are the only three I can think of (although I may be wrong on Elam…). Stover was actually the kicker on my very first fantasy football team back in 1991.
Update: Just looked it up and was wrong on Elam and Stover and right on Carney. Stover was in the league but didn’t make it into Super Tecmo Bowl (he was drafted by the Giants in 1990 but played for the Browns in 1991). Elam was drafted in 1993 (Rich Karliss was the Broncos kicker in the game as I recall). The last remaining players from the game who are still active are Carney, Jeff Feagles (also with the Giants) and Junior Seau (who may still get signed this year by the Pats).

So That's Three Remaining
Man, Super Tecmo Bowl was awesome. I once blew off almost a week of class in college playing that game…I won Super Bowls with every single team on the game except the Saints (because the NES broke in the middle of the season). Winning with New England was the hardest…Steve Grogan was the worst QB, their running game blew, and they had the slowest and weakest middle linebacker (the position where you could get the most sacks) in the game.
And for my money, after Bo Jackson the second best player in that game was Mike Singletary…I had 230 sacks with him in one season and nobody could block him.

Watching Him Plow Through Running Backs Trying To Block Him Was The Best
They flew 20 yards downfield.
Sacks were soooo easy on that game. At the snap you had the middle linebacker go up then straight in…there was always a huge gap for him to run through and if you made a dive at the QB’s feet five yards away he went down. Other outstanding linebackers in that game were John Offerdahl, Chris Spielman, and Percy Snow…I broke the 150 sack barrier with all of them. Derrick Thomas and Lawrence Taylor were both awesome too, but it was tougher to get sacks from the OLB position. That hole always opened up for the middle linebacker to run through.

His pass protection could use some work but I think he’s promising enough…especially considering how few penalties he gets as well.

Solid on an OL that was anything but a few months ago
i’m actually pretty impressed with their play lately. I think Niswanger is taking on a leadership role a la Weigmann. Which is a good thing, its very important that the center is a vocal leader. It also bodes well for when Waters hangs it up b/c he is the voice of that whole offense.

for those of us that can’t watch the games, your insight on what you see going on means quite a lot.
Tell me how the LBs looked realistically in the Denver game. I read that DJ did OK, but looked like he still needed some practice as MLB, but what about Boiman and Williams? How did they look and has Gatewood gone in yet?
Has Wade Smith been doing well and can he get to the sencond level? Has Herb T ever gone in for Mackintosh and has Mac settled in to become a solid RT?
sorry for all the questions, but I haven’t heard about those things.
