Training Camp Montage

070802-am-033_medium

Just went through some of the old Kansas City Chiefs training camp photos and picked out some of the betters ones. Many more after the jump.

Star-divide

Training camp begins in nine short days and if you've never really intensely followed the going ons of a Kansas City Chiefs training camp, the UW-RF Chiefs site is a must read. While the staff can get a bit confused between this player or that player during their practice summaries, they do provide a truly massive amount of pictures from training camp. And for that, we thank them.

So, here are some of the better pictures. Or at least the pictures that made me think of funny lines.

Not your usual caravan of River Falls vehicles, I'd imagine. (2006 camp)

I wonder if I'm whimsical enough

Is that really Eddie Kennison there? He looks ooold!

Definitely not Kennison

But I though tit would be funny.

And "tit"

is even funnier!

Anyone think Charlie Joiner could outrun Eddie?

Chris we need some more caption this pics. By the way how is Texas treating you?

Hot as hell

Record heat down here. Other than that, it’s fantastic. I really love the town.

Great captions Chris

Hilarious!

+1 - funny stuff
old eddie

hahah imagine if kennison looked like that when he played

Casey Printers
And that throwing motion is why Casey Printers is in the CFL again.

I think it had more to do with his regrettable habit of consistently fumbling snaps in practice.

RE

Did you see the Casey Printers FanShot I just put up?

Just Read It

I didn’t really fault Casey Printers for saying what he said to Ray Farmer in “Hard Knocks”. It was an accurate assessment…he put in a lot of time trying to work his way up, he was playing in the preseason with the third-string and the obvious roster cuts and he was clearly outperforming both Huard and Croyle, so based on preseason performance he probably didn’t deserve to get cut for a guy who didn’t even play in the preseason (Tyler Thigpen).

On the flip side, I looked up his stats from last season in the CFL and the guy was awful…really bad. And he was a fairly mediocre passer before that so it’s not like the Chiefs were cutting loose a Doug Flutie or a Warren Moon. From what I saw, Printers was what he was, a 3rd QB on an NFL roster who’s always going to struggle to make the cut. So you can’t really blame the Chiefs for cutting him loose because his ceiling didn’t appear to be that high, especially when you consider the consistent fumbling problem.
