Yeah, I forgot about that. I would like Powe to get some snaps.
It’s kind of the same reasons I want Stanzi to play. Maybe he isn’t the QB of the future but if he comes in and plays decent then we know we have a backup QB of the future. Same with Powe, would love to see what we have in him before going into the off-season and the draft.
Maybe he does still have something left but both him and Battle look so slow hitting the hole. Then again, hard to sprint forward when D-Lineman are behind the line of scrimmage by the time you get the ball.
FIRE B. Muir NOW… Hire a real OC that is fimiliar with this offense not named McDaniels, now or after the season but fire Muir NOW, let Mo Carthon do it. I don’t care just get rid of Muir so my defense doesn’t have to play more then 45 minutes a game.
CUT B Rich, T Jones, T Palko NOW…
Start Wiegmann for the first snap of each of the remaining games and then sit his behind on the bench and let the Rookie play the rest of the remaining games. Release him after the season.
Start Stanzi… regardless if Orton is 100% healthy… we need to see what this kid has.
All Rookies need to be inserted into their positions through-out the remainder of the season to better access them… Powe, Bailey, rookies/ 2nd year guys, etc.
Message from Crennel to Mr. Hunt & Mr. Pioli:
Stop being cheap in FA. I’m not saying to go crazy with "Big Name FA’s" but let’s address needs and depth…
Mr. Pioli you need draft starters in the 2012 Draft
Final Thought:
Finally, we need a new coach… Romeo is a good candidate but, pay the man so he stays with this organization as a Defensive Coordinator/Assistant Coach. Let the man do what he does best… Defense…
The new coach needs to be be a veteran coach that has had success. Not a fan of Cowher or Dungy (unless P. Manning comes along with him). I like Mr. Fisher.
Mr. Hunt & Mr. Pioli you better be right in getting rid of Haley…
Why hire and fire staff? It would take a week at the least to interview and make a sound decision…a week for the coach to get in a groove…that leaves one game left. A new coach is going to bring in his own staff.
You can’t cut players with nobody to replace them. If we start Stanzi you will want a guy like TJ around….and B Rich sucks, but I doubt a guy we picked off the street will be that much better.
Wiegmann’s streak is not only a game streak, but snap streak…he doesn’t miss plays…so that makes no sense.
Yes, we need to play our young guys more and get them in some games.
I have no problem with the way Pioli did FA. Did you ever see the Pats spending a ton of money??? Nope…that’s not the answer. He brought in McClain, Breaston, Gregg, and Siler…that is 4 starters and who have improved the team save Siler due to injury. Has there been a better FA WR then Breaston? Has Franklyn outplayed Gregg? People should not be concerned with money spent….as for the amount of FAs. We had a lot of young players and they needed to play. Except for S, where would have signed players? I know OT, but we tried to sign a couple and they went somewhere else.
I agree, Fisher is the man for the job, though I would like Romeo to stay and coach the D.
he’s good depth, just needs to be replaced as a starter
and I really don’t think Weigmann’s “streak” has anything to do with why he’s playing… he still gets the job done more often than not, and Hudson will start next year…
Zorn if anybody should call plays…but agian it’s not going to make that much difference…if Pioli starts making a ton of coaching and player changes then we will all know who wanted who and that is not how the Chiefs want it. As for Gaither, I think that was a big mistake and may be one of the issues Pioli had with Haley.
As for the streak, it is one of the greatest streaks out there. No reason to end it if he can still perform. It would be a PR nightmare and Pioli wants to stay away from that. I would rather have Hudson play for Lilija as I think he won’t be back next year
If you don’t like Cassel, then you aren’t going to be very happy. Pioli brought in Cassel, and I have a feeling he will stick with him. If he does, it might be tough to get a coach that has to take the QB on the roster…unless he has worked with him (McDaniels). In the end Pioli knows he gets to change coaches once not twice. Hopefully he will look for a guy like Fisher and not let his ego get in the way and force Cassel down his throat…if he does it will be bye bye Pioli.
On one side he had a decent year last year and was handcuffed a little by our offense/multiple OC’s/lack of receivers until this year/Haley. He did show he could be solid in NE and decent here.
On the other hand, he has had at least 55 starts and thrown 1,767 passes in the NFL, during that time he has mostly been mediocre.
If McDaniels comes in (not saying I want that) I would probably be ok with Cassel another year. Past that he would be usuable until we could get another QB.
seriously couldn’t hurt just as long as Muir isn’t the one calling plays. Funny if Muir did call plays and they actually executed better. Never gonna happen though.
Actually, I wasn't even thinking about it until I was thinking of who would call plays
Cassel is smart, he knows the playbooks. Even though he is injured he is still active with the team by being on the sidelines and helping out (don’t see that very often) and I think the offensive players respect him. Heck, he couldn’t be worse than Muir unless every play he called was the Statute of Liberty play.
I’ve always wondered why teams don’t put injured players to work helping the coaches. Make them review tape, help put a game plan together, help with practice or something.
Crennel said today he hasn't decided who will start at QB Sunday
By not quickly annoucing a change from Palko I’m left to believe that Haley starting Palko over Stanzi wasn’t entirely his decision and Pioli may not want Stanzi to see any action this year.
good ideas
can’t really argue with them.
it’ll be interesting to see if it was Haley’s stubbornness that kept these changes from occuring
stagdsp - December 13, 2011
Let Powe play, see what he has
Along with Bailey getting some base snaps
BAMFSpecialOps - December 13, 2011
Yeah, I forgot about that. I would like Powe to get some snaps.

Fozzyboyd - December 13, 2011
Same reason I would like to see Bailey as the base RDE for a bit
See what we can do with Dorsey
BAMFSpecialOps - December 13, 2011
I like them except for TJ being inactive.
Iczer - December 13, 2011
I just don't see a reason for him to keep playing.
I’d almost prefer bringing up Shaun Draughn from the practice squad just to see what he can do. We know TJ can’t do more than 2 yards a carry.
Fozzyboyd - December 13, 2011
TJ CAN... IF there's good run blocking
which there hasn’t been.
he can’t “make chicken salad” like JC could
stagdsp - December 13, 2011
Yeah, it's hard to tell with this line.
Maybe he does still have something left but both him and Battle look so slow hitting the hole. Then again, hard to sprint forward when D-Lineman are behind the line of scrimmage by the time you get the ball.
Fozzyboyd - December 13, 2011
there arent' many RBs that can gain yards when hit behind the LOS
stagdsp - December 13, 2011
Lets get Barry Sanders out of retirement.
Fozzyboyd - December 13, 2011
I'd love to know how many yards he ran behind the LOS
BAMFSpecialOps - December 13, 2011
Does sideline to sideline count?
Fozzyboyd - December 13, 2011
Anything behind the LOS, not past the LOS but running sideways
Getting the ball, running forward, then backwards, then sideways, then backwards to the otherside, then forwards for a 1 yard gain
BAMFSpecialOps - December 13, 2011
Yeah, Sanders was one of the only guys I ever saw that could run 20 yards but gain only 1 and make it look awesome
Fozzyboyd - December 13, 2011
lol sorry, thought you mean Tyson Jackson. I’m all for Jones not playing anymore. He’s lost too many steps.
Iczer - December 13, 2011
Yes, at first, I thought the same thing.
Mr.Pibbs - December 13, 2011
Yeah, easy mistake. I think TJax has played pretty decent this year
He doesn’t get a lot of stats but he holds down his side pretty well. Not great but he’s solid.
Fozzyboyd - December 13, 2011
All valid points..
TJ – well its 3 games left. what can we do…
Mas Cervezas - December 13, 2011
Have him buy AP a few rounds for putting up with his nightmare?

Solid Ideas? Hopefully at least the first four acutally happen!

Let me fix that
Where’s the
LIKEREC button?KC Nate - December 13, 2011
totally agree
I would also active droughns and powe and let them play. Also, I would give battle 25 carries and see what he could do.
25 in Charge - December 13, 2011
Ok where to start???
FIRE B. Muir NOW… Hire a real OC that is fimiliar with this offense not named McDaniels, now or after the season but fire Muir NOW, let Mo Carthon do it. I don’t care just get rid of Muir so my defense doesn’t have to play more then 45 minutes a game.

Let me clarify...
Muir has to go NOW… I’m pretty sure that someone else can call the plays that’s why there are assistants. Hire an OC after the season is over…
As far as cutting Richarson, Cut him now… we have MIMS or Maneri…Why did we let Gaither go?
If Orton is 75% healthy CUT Palko… We could sign another QB if necessary
Wiegmann’s streak is not more important then the team. Point blank… Thank him at the end of the season, ring of honor, whatever…
I agree with your views on the FA’s acquired. Breaston was a great pick up, if we only had a real QB?
DT58 in NJ - December 13, 2011
BRich could be a cheap swing tackle/extra run blocker though
BAMFSpecialOps - December 13, 2011
agreed.
he’s good depth, just needs to be replaced as a starter

Was kinda funny. Better he do that than get on the field
NJChieffan16 - December 13, 2011 via mobile
Cassel calling plays
might help his developmentseriously couldn’t hurt just as long as Muir isn’t the one calling plays. Funny if Muir did call plays and they actually executed better. Never gonna happen though.

Fozzyboyd - December 13, 2011
Does Berry/Charles travel with the team, or roam the sidelines?
BAMFSpecialOps - December 13, 2011
Don't know. I can't remember ever seeing a player on IR roaming the sidelines
Cassel seems to be active on the sideline.
Fozzyboyd - December 13, 2011
Oh, and I haven't seen Berry or Charles on the sideline this year
granted that could be because no one wants them to get run over and reinjure the knee.
Fozzyboyd - December 13, 2011
Just wondering if they were with the team
Some players stick with their teams in the booths or on the sidelines, just never heard of either being with the team.
BAMFSpecialOps - December 13, 2011
Since their injuries require alot of rehab i think that is why they are not there
Cassel just has a bum hand.
km230015 - December 13, 2011
That could be it
I’ve always wondered why teams don’t put injured players to work helping the coaches. Make them review tape, help put a game plan together, help with practice or something.
Fozzyboyd - December 13, 2011
I actually expected or kinda hoped I guess that Berry would be around the defense
Getting them fired up, going over plays, etc
Could be too hazardous on the sidelines though
BAMFSpecialOps - December 13, 2011
Zorn...
..Bcause he has exp…OC in Seattle
Special K - December 13, 2011
Pretty much right on all points
there should be a see what the unproven can do so we can get better focus on next year movement.
