East-West Shrine Game Week Kicks Off

There are four NFL teams who are still playing but sadly the Kansas City Chiefs are not one of those teams. While those four teams prepare for their playoff games this weekend, the rest of us are preparing for the 2012 NFL draft.

The East-West Shrine game kicks off this weekend and the draft prospects are already practicing for the game.

Check out this recap of Day 1 at the East-West Shrine game courtesy of National Football Post.

Let me know what players are of interest to you that are playing in this game. I feel way, way behind on the draft talk this year. I assume we'll start this week off like we do most draft weeks by wondering who the best offensive tackle available is.

According to Walter

Here is a rundown of some of the post-practice interviews between the player and a team that was spending some time talking to the prospect:

Kansas City – Wisconsin safety Aaron Henry, Oregon State corner Brandon Hardin

It has begun...the Chiefs Draft Interests table!
The draft table is the coolest thing we have here at AP.

Besides upamtn of course…

Which should have every name in the game on it.

Since they interview every player. Of course, people will make a big deal out of the names who are made public, even though it doesn’t mean anything.

Up with nihilism!

Lots of mid to late round prospects. Should be fun to watch these guys jockey to get drafted.

Thanks for the link, it should be fun to watch
Yes sir, we got to keep an eye on that Miami (OH) OG Brandon Brooksir, could be an interesting later round pick up huh ?????
We all know how the Chiefs like their Brandon's.................
Keep an eye on Tysyn Hartman

2nd team All Big 12 and Academic All American. Could be picked up in round 6 or 7 for secondary depth at free safety/strong safety.

Isn't this where Crennel will be conducting OC interviews?

Seems like that may be the biggest acquisition we can make from this game…

Tom Compton

I know him! Seriously, we had scouts here all the time looking at him. He’d be well worth a late 6th rounder.

OK this one's just for fun

but even though he goes to a “rival” school of mine, South Dakota State WR Dale Moss…6’4’’ and 200 lbs, also played basketball and track, is the nephew of 1972 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny “The Jet” Rodgers and cousin of former Husker and Arizona Cardinal Bobby Newcombe.
