We may have seen the end of the Bill Muir era with the Kansas City Chiefs. At least according to Jason La Canfora.
The NFL Network insider reports that Muir, the Chiefs offensive coordinator and primary play caller, is "likely" to retire. Muir is 69 years old and there has been speculation lately that the Chiefs will hire a new offensive coordinator so the report shouldn't come as a major shock.
Muir spoke to the media last week and I didn't notice any indication this is the way he's leaning.
Even without a retirement decision, you have to wonder if Muir would be back. This was his first season as the Chiefs offensive coordinator and play caller and KC ended the season ranked 31st in the league. Yes, there were quarterback concerns in the second half of the season but even with Matt Cassel early in the year the team was too inconsistent.
So we'll keep an eye out for news on Muir's future. Plenty of folks have been speculating that the Chiefs will hire an offensive coordinator. If Muir retires, that will confirm a new OC is coming to town.

69!
He looks about 89 in that picture. Being that old calling plays you know he had to fall asleep a few times in the booth.
Nelly - January 2, 2012
YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Bill, but time for you to just go away.
KCRowdy - January 2, 2012
I would keep muir as an oline coach
Don’t forget muir called some plays but it was haley calling alot more than muir.
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
Think you got that backwards
Muir called most of the plays. Haley called some.
Joel Thorman - January 2, 2012
wrong haley called the plays most of them
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
Wrong
Plays were decide by a committee then telegraphed across the Atlantic for play analyzing scientists to make some more changes, approve, then sent back to Muir who relayed them to Zorn using smoke signals, who then used flash cards to get it to Haley who radioed it in to whoever is the starting QB that particular day which all ended in a timeout called by the said QB.
ChiefWarPaint - January 2, 2012
This explains
a lot.
Black and Gold - January 2, 2012
This is phenomenal.
Brsrkr - January 2, 2012
come on would you hire someone to be your oc who never really called plays before, and turn the guy loose calling plays
muir was a puppet for haley calling plays. Haley was looking for a yes man. If u watch alot of the sideline action u always saw haley holding his play card and covering his mouth calling in plays when the chiefs had the ball. I would say it was about a 75 to 25 mix of haley caslling the plays over muir.
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
I've been givng muir shit all year, but I can see that it was more haley than muir. calling plays
i would keep muir as oline coach
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
Because the play calling was so much better after Haley left?
The execution and QB play improved some but it was the same bad playcalling especially in the red zone.
GenericBrand - January 2, 2012
the green bay game offensively was probably the best game plan the chiefs had all year offensively.
they moved the ball, and it wasn’t the 3 and out bullshit I watched all year. Granted they didn’t score like they should of in the redzone, but what a break it was for the defense to catch there breath on the sidelines. alot of times under haley i was just hoping for a first down on offense just to give the DE a rest.
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
With Matt Cassel as the QB he probably was
Caslling the plays in…
I agree with WarPaint
Chief-blinders-on - January 2, 2012
Wow! NO body challenges The Joel Thorman like that!
Respect.
Brsrkr - January 2, 2012
also
i wasn’t too impressed with the o-line performance this year
The DBowe Show - January 2, 2012
Wiegs went from old to older ... we lost Waters, Lilja had to change sides, Asamoah's first year of starting
… and Moeaki gone, TE does help block as well
upamtn - January 2, 2012
Yep
I’m now hoping for a C.Weigmann retirement to be announced. I’m excited about the possibilities for the o-line next year especially if we draft someone early on. I don’t think people knew how important T.Moeaki in the blocking game either, and you see the difference he made.
CPT.Caveman - January 2, 2012
i agree on all counts
stagdsp - January 2, 2012 via mobile
No, Tony Moeaki is out of Iowa
just like Stanzi, and therefore he was drafted only as a personal favor from Pioli to Ferentz, and really isn’t any good at all. /sarcasm
neiowakcfan - January 2, 2012
Where is SullyWA2 when you need him?
He had inside information from a source he couldn’t name that confirmed Haley was calling all the plays… and that Matt Cassel is a bona fide NFL starting QB and that the Chiefs need not upgrade that position.
neiowakcfan - January 2, 2012
5 OCs in four years.
The future looks bright. ;p

Alex Smith says hi
trentchiefsfan - January 3, 2012
that alone is good for at least 25 more percentage points of TDs per red zone possession.
reedeasy - January 2, 2012 via Android app
not bad news
But, then again… he was good with the OL, so this leaves several openings now… DC, OC, OL coach….
stagdsp - January 2, 2012 via mobile
I think him being OC is part of why the Oline regressed this year.
GenericBrand - January 2, 2012
i am not convinced the OL regressed
Plug JC back in, and the rushing numbers would have been as good… the sacks alowed were about the same.
stagdsp - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Lilja had issues adjusting to the left side and Richardson(who actually showed some promise last year) completely fell off.
GenericBrand - January 2, 2012
true statements
But, I stand by my assesment.
I also think that Albert and Asamoah improved and Hudson looks good… so on balance, the OL isn’t worse
stagdsp - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Right on all counts
I wonder how much of Lilja’s struggles were related to Weigs going from old to super old.
MNchiefsfan - January 3, 2012
just curious why did the chiefs let gaithers go when they never played the guy very much.
I know about the san diego game, but b rich does that all the time and he’s still on the team.
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
because he wanted to play LT. I forgot Albert or B Rich is LT
he can’t play RT…for some odd reason
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
i dont think that was the reason
stagdsp - January 2, 2012 via mobile
or maybe haley hated him. Who knows. My money is on the LT issue
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
haley said publicly that Gaither could play either side
Kent Babb said that Haley never gave him a chance… didn’t get snaps in practice or on game day… Gaither had no idea why
stagdsp - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Gaither said
he’d be fine playing either side. One of his best friends is Albert.
Tarkus - January 2, 2012
yep
stagdsp - January 2, 2012 via mobile
tark gaither is a potential free agent right
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
Yep.
That’s one reason he was let go, I’m sure. Haley wasn’t playing him, so no use in him taking up a roster spot.
Tarkus - January 2, 2012
yes but i don't think the chiefs signed gaither for a whole lot
How f*cked up is it to be 30 mill under the cap and cut somebody you need back up or starting help on the oline. Another haley ego f*ck up
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
I still say blame belongs to more than Haley
If Pioli thought Gaither was worth keeping, he wouldn’t have cut him, especially knowing he planned/hoped to fire Haley soon.
bh13 - January 2, 2012
explain my 4 week nightmare watching palko play when haley was coach.
or lets change the offense game plan on the plane when the chiefs headed to play the jets. Haley ego got the best of him and it cost him his job. He was more about screwing the team at the end then doing what was right.
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
I'm not saying Haley was blameless
Just that Pioli should share some of it. If Pioli thought Gaither was worth keeping, why would he cut him off word from the coach he was planning to fire?
bh13 - January 2, 2012
Because an organization cannot work
If you don’t trust people to do the jobs you’ve delegated to them. Management 101.
The only thing you can do is, once you’ve totally lost faith in them, let them go. Which Pioli did.
MNchiefsfan - January 3, 2012
I don't think he planned on firing him until the end of the year.
I think the Jets game fiasco accelerated his plans.
Tarkus - January 2, 2012
Fair enough
I’m certainly not trying to take all the blame off Haley here. He clearly mishandled the situation, as well as others, but I don’t think Pioli is completely blame free either. There were other guys that could have been cut if part of the reason it happened was to protect Mims.
bh13 - January 2, 2012
Again.
No reason to hang onto him, if he’s not playing and will be a free agent at the end of the year. I’m not saying Pioli is blameless, but I put at least 90% on Haley.
Tarkus - January 2, 2012
I can accept that
Just another questionable move on Haley’s way out.
bh13 - January 2, 2012
Wrong. it was all about saving the awesome, world beating, descedant of Chuck Norris himself
DAVID MIMS!!!!
trentchiefsfan - January 3, 2012
Depending on what happens with the HC spot
There could be more coaching turnover than that.

GenericBrand - January 2, 2012
I'd like at least three
RT
LG
C
Or if Hudson sticks at LG, making Lilja the backup (if not cut), then two centers.
bh13 - January 2, 2012
Lilja would be a really good interior backup
And keep B-Rich as the swing tackle. Not only should that be a good starting line, but we will also have decent depth.
Scaryclouds - January 2, 2012 via mobile
u mean u are asking clark to spend money
the good news he will be forced to this year, I hear they got to spend atleast 90% of the salery cap or they lose tv revenue
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
He just spent 14 million on a kicker and paid our best pass rusher 60 million.
The whole “Clark is cheap” argument is tired.
GenericBrand - January 2, 2012
yeah i was surprised about the dollers for succup deal.
I hope clark writes a few more checks, like bowe and carr. and orton
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
Even under the last deal teams
had to spend 80% of the salary cap… it’s not like the Chiefs haven’t locked up some key players with long-term contracts. I echo the sentiment that Mr. Hunt isn’t “cheap.” He may be frugal, but I’d rather that than throw money at a on-the-field flash and locker room cancer. Perhaps it takes more than a couple years to get the right guys long term. Don’t forget, the players have a bit of a say in it, too. See Brandon Carr.
neiowakcfan - January 2, 2012
Including Breaston
Hunt has shelled our over 150 million dollars to key players over the last year and a half.
MNchiefsfan - January 3, 2012
Looks like it's going to be another interesting offseason.
oldchiefsfan - January 2, 2012

A. J charles and T moeaki IR.
B. dropping waters.
C. Cassel and palko sucked this year.
D. Way to predictable.
E. all of the above.
albuquerquechiefsfan - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Just don't hire McDaniels as OC!!!! It would be a monumental mistake.
The media is continuing to state McDaniels will likely be the OC if Crennel is head coach. This would be Pioli’s biggest mistake of all. We already have media stating that he McD would be the headcoach in waiting when Romeo retires/quits/get fired or whatever. Is this what you want Chiefs fans? Everyone made it clearly known that we don’t want McD for head coach, why on earth would anyone feel any different about him as OC? If we hire him to be OC, there would huge fan dissent not only now, but at the first sign of something going awry in 2012. Top it off with this meaning two more years of Cassel. Uhhhh – I think this would be a disaster!!!

how about
a new offense? Preferably oregon’s offense
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
right now oregon got 2 weeks of offense already on the board if that was kc
21pts already for oregon
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
oregon is 46 points a game. If KC could do that....
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
you would of thought vermeil came back to coach kc
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
is he willing to come back? =D
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
how about when the chiefs had greg robinsion as DC under vermeil
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
i rather have offense over defense
but that’s just me
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
yeah unfortunately that theory didn't work under vermeil
we couldn’t stop anybody when we needed to
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
we had a defense?
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
no not under vermeil we didn't every game was a shoot out
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
the old AFC west. Good old days
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
yeah we had a good run with trent green at QB just didn't have the DE to back green up.
Just image if green had the de of today and the wr of the chiefs today back when green played
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
or if we had Green, Holmes, TonyG and that hellaciously awesome OLine
upamtn - January 2, 2012
I wouldn't complain about Kennison being back in the mix either
But really, if we could just get that O-line back (man what a line that was), we’d probably be surprised at how good this offense suddenly looks even with the rest of the current parts.
bh13 - January 2, 2012
you mean u wouldn't be mad if holding # 67 is let go
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012

upamtn - January 2, 2012
Ok
Take a deep breathe, sit back and look at the QBs in this years draft. Ok now look at where we’re picking in the draft, do you see anyone there that’s a upgrade over what we have? Do you even see anyone that would even be better prepared to start than Stanzi? Get it, got it, good, now go back a change your list.
CPT.Caveman - January 2, 2012
we could pull a falcon?
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
Why does he need to change the list?
QB is our biggest need that doesn’t change just because their may or may not be QBs in the top 12 that we would want.
ChiefWarPaint - January 2, 2012
Why put it there if theres not a good option?
CPT.Caveman - January 2, 2012
Because its our top need?
It’s what I have rated as our top need. It doesn’t mean we should reach on a guy top 12, but that doesn’t stop it from being the top need.
ChiefWarPaint - January 2, 2012
besides luck and rg3
is there any good qb?
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
Not really I'm afraid
ChiefWarPaint - January 2, 2012
I'm all for drafting a QB, but there's no reason when they suck
might as well pick someone from FA
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
Yup...
Drew Brees is an option… As is Matt Flynn.
ravenhawk - January 2, 2012
I doubt Brees is an option
I can’t see New Orleans letting him get away.
bh13 - January 2, 2012
While I agree... It is still a possible option.
NO will not be able to keep all their free agents Granted Nicks is most likely going to be the guy to leave.
ravenhawk - January 3, 2012
Yeah it's our top need no doubt, but it ain't happening.
We all know we need a better QB, but it ain’t happening this year. So you realize that and put the 2nd need first on the list.
CPT.Caveman - January 2, 2012
yeah will get manning this year, just look at my sig for proof
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
which one? Peyton, Eli, or their dad?
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
peyton
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
sad to say but some of u weren't even around when the last time the chiefs drafted a QB in the first round
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
I definitely wasn't
I’m only 20
ChiefWarPaint - January 2, 2012
Or keep it as your top need
Becsuse it is the top need, who knows we might pick up Peyton Manning, RGIII might fall to us or we could trade up you never know until it happens.
ChiefWarPaint - January 2, 2012
Normally I agree with you about stuff CPT
but the Chiefs can’t keep ignoring the position and with Dwayne Bowe potentially franchised they have ammunition to move up in the draft if they trade him.
I think they should sign re-sign Bowe, but this team needs a long term answer at the QB position.
Chief-blinders-on - January 2, 2012
Woot woot...
Anybody getting on the Matt Flynn train?
12t - January 2, 2012
Only if we get his QB coach in here to be the OC

1.) LT KALIL ( USC)
2.) QB KEENUM (HOUSTON)
3.) RB ( RICHARDSON FROM ALABAMA, BALL FROM WISCONSIN, POLK FROM WASHINGTON) ALL ARE JR; RICHARDSON WILL BE GONE IN 1ST ROUND.
4.) NT
5.) ILB: DJ NEED HELP ( MOVE STUDEBAKER INSIDE & BELCHER AS BACK-UP)
6. SS/FS; ( CUT BOTH MCGRAW & PISCITELLI) MOVE KENDRICK LEWIS TO SS & DRAFT CLAIBORNE FROM LSU
7.) TE FA ( COLIN PETE, PRESTON DIAL BOTH WERE APART OF ALABAMA NATIONAL TITLE. ) OR CELEK FROM MICH ST
BGayles1 - January 2, 2012
Needs Revised
1.) DeCastro LG
2.) Keenum QB (okay, I could get with this, round 3 or 4?)
3.) Ganaway RB (probably a 3rd or 4th rounder, maybe 5th)
4.) Ta’amu NT (round 2)
5.) ILB… yeah, maybe in FA? might be stuck with Siler. If they find the right answer at NT, this might not be a big deal.
6.) Secondary Depth S and CB
7.) TE – Agreed. Don’t care who. But hopefully they can catch AND block.
Falcon58 - January 2, 2012
Your #6....Did you forget that Berry is a strong safety?
Really though, Romeo plays left and right safeties….and Lewis isn’t very good at sticking his nose in.

So Haley hired a guy one year before retirement.
To do one of the most important things on the team, that he’d never done before in his life.
#dumbass
Tarkus - January 2, 2012
Agreed.
Huston09 - January 2, 2012 via mobile
How else was he going to get a new OC next season in his continued offensive plan?
Chief-blinders-on - January 2, 2012
haley wanted a yes man in muir, word probably got out about the weis debacle and oc didn't want to come to kc
so hire muir, and call the show haley. Just my theory, but they way it looks i think i’m right
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
Haley would have been better off just doing it himself.
At least that would have been less confusing, and he’d be sure to sink or swim on his own accord.
Tarkus - January 2, 2012
I think it is safe to assume Haley might regret some of the decisions that he made in Kansas City
If Haley ever gets another shot, I think he will do well.
It will be interesting to follow his career.
Chief-blinders-on - January 2, 2012
That's a big if.
He didn’t do himself any favors on his way out.
Tarkus - January 2, 2012
you are not lying about that
but success does wonders to make up for past mistakes…
If he gets hot somewhere, his name will come up.
Chief-blinders-on - January 2, 2012
Yeah, I think he needs to build back up his rep.
Probably start at the WR coaching position again. Still young enough to learn from his mistakes and be successful down the line.
Tarkus - January 2, 2012
I for one will be watching his career closely...
In the end, it seems he definitely got himself fired… but I am a Todd Haley fan. He had a lot of potential, it’s all just too bad.
Chief-blinders-on - January 2, 2012
I really wanted him to succeed too.
He was the kind of guy you could really rally behind, until he started doing all kinds of screwy things this year.
Tarkus - January 2, 2012
Todd Haley was a guy you could grow a beard with...
He did somethings great and somethings with a little WTF.
Chief-blinders-on - January 2, 2012
I think he was set to become a good-great coach for us
Somewhere along the way, things between him and Pioli shifted and that apparently made him go nuts.
bh13 - January 2, 2012
Who knows?
Chief-blinders-on - January 2, 2012
Hell get an OC job somewhere
No doubt about that
ChiefWarPaint - January 2, 2012
Now?
I’m not so sure. His offenses sucked in KC, and he only called plays one year in St. Louis. Granted, it was their SB year, but he can only ride that gravy train for so long.
Tarkus - January 2, 2012
I don't see him taking a demotion like tha personally
Some might believe he didn’t get a fair shake, especially dealing with such major injuries this year, the offense last year was pretty good IIRC.
I know Cards fans would love to have him back at OC.
ChiefWarPaint - January 2, 2012
Does Ken Whisenhunt get fired this year?
He might go back… Todd Haley will get a job somewhere if he wants one…
Chief-blinders-on - January 2, 2012

tell me cassel numbers last year under weis. i think it was on of his best year as a chief
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
After Haley was fired
There was a reporter for CBS I think that said Haley was the one responsible for Cassel’s development. Supposedly Haley and Weis got into it over Cassel’s development and Weis just said “Fine, you do it.”
bh13 - January 2, 2012
agree tark i just got tired of the 3 ring circus of muir, haley, and a little zorn. all calling plays.
doing all that BS and then haley having veto power to blow it up every play

Watching this Rose Bowl,
Does anyone know where Russell Wilson is projected? (Assuming he declares)
Huston09 - January 2, 2012 via mobile
probably in the middle somewhere
we could pick him up
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
He looks pretty good.
Obviously college is completely different, but definitely looks worth a mid-Round pick.
Huston09 - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Really?
His career college stats put him somewhere below Ricky Stanzi. I know, you can’t look at college stats unless you aren’t named Ricky Stanzi. If Russell Wilson wins this game, he will have a Rose Bowl over Stanzi’s Orange Bowl, and that will make him that much better.
But that’s it. Fewer yards, better TD/INT ratio, about the same completion percentage, similar bodies and mobility.
Yep, keep looking for that guy SO MUCH BETTER than what we have on the roster.
neiowakcfan - January 2, 2012
Sorry, Stanzi is bigger.
I forgot that Wilson is Doug Flutie’s twin.
neiowakcfan - January 2, 2012
They are saying he may go play baseball...
He would be a risky pick
Matt_Grbac - January 2, 2012

He is in Kellen Moore territory.
I would rather have Moore. Who is better?
Chief-blinders-on - January 2, 2012
Well
Kellen Moore destroys him in overall career.
Wilson – 60.7 career % 107td 29int
Moore – 69.8 career % 142td 28int
Matt_Grbac - January 2, 2012
They run different styles of offense, but the point is well taken.
Still, Wilson’s numbers aren’t bad for a Wisconsin QB. In fact they are probably great for any QB.
Only Case Keenum gets close to those Moore numbers…
Keenum — 69.5 career % 155 td 46 int
Chief-blinders-on - January 2, 2012

He did good work with Tony Moeaki last season.. we may see a completely different O staff in 2012. That could be a great thing.
Chief-blinders-on - January 2, 2012
Hope you all took the over in this Wisconsin game ;-)
OhioChiefsFan - January 2, 2012
Chiefs defense+ oregon offense=SB time
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
Wilson looks good
seriously, I just would SO love to see OK St beat the snot outta Stanford … and a certain My A Luck toss 5 INT’s
upamtn - January 2, 2012
I was thinking the same thing
I hope they make him look bad so everyone will shut the hell up about him
banshee_01 - January 2, 2012
i like the mobile RG111 the best.
I think there is a good shot we get manning this year. It reminds me of the whole montana deal when carl peterson ran the show. I might be wrong but my sig tells me we don;t draft qb in the first round.
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
we got the de part figured out who we plugging in for the offense part
peyton manning
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
1 issue, if manning goes down, who's going to take over?
look at the colts. Manning was basically the OC, Offense, and QB. Once he goes down=confusion. That’s my only concern
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
my choice at the moment is orton over cassel for the back up if manning is brought in
no manning or no draft day pick on a qb then orton my qb
niageriannit1 - January 2, 2012
Orton sounds like he's not coming back.
Guess we’ll find out if Mr. Hunt is “cheap” and won’t commit, because Orton seems to think it’s Matt’s team and apparently wants to start somewhere.
How he could NOT start in KC blows my mind, but whatever.
neiowakcfan - January 2, 2012
It seems like Muir wants to end his career on his own terms.
AaronMannicci - January 2, 2012 via mobile
wouldn't you?
and the guy deserves it, honestly
upamtn - January 2, 2012
I don't care whose terms.
Just that it ends (at least in KC).
Tarkus - January 2, 2012
btw this is off topic but the National Defense authorization act. So don't you dare say anything bad about the US
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
obama signed the NDAA*
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
and never go to the airport and wave at your friend and holler "hi" to him if his name is "Jack"
upamtn - January 2, 2012
But he might be a friendly American official who can get you through customs in Somalia and onto a flight to America without a passport
At least if you’re the underwear bomber anyways
ChiefWarPaint - January 2, 2012
Yeah just goes to show how much change we've gotten out of Obomba
Which is none
ChiefWarPaint - January 2, 2012
well the pat act is for foreigners. NDAA is for civilians.
Now the cycle is whole. We don’t discriminate when we abuse people’s rights
Chiefshero - January 2, 2012
Either way they're unconstitutional
And Obama is the “constitutional lawyer/scholar” LMAO
ChiefWarPaint - January 2, 2012
I swear I hate getting into politics
but the Patriot Act allows warrantless eavesdropping on anybody, citizen or not.
Made into law under Bush, renewed under Obama.
TARP, signed under Bush, blamed on Obama.
Look ’em up.
neiowakcfan - January 2, 2012
Obama did vote in favor of TARP
He did sign ARRA into law filled with pork barrel spending and 1.2
Trillion more added to the debt, adding a trillion every year, etc.
ChiefWarPaint - January 2, 2012
THANK GOD!!!
A year too late and Im also not to happy that he goes out on his own terms and that the Chiefs were the team that put up with his experiment of being an OC but atleast that nightmare will soon be officially done
slackator - January 2, 2012
Haley was a smart dude
He had a good grasp on situational stats. If Haley was interrupting someone with an overarching ‘scheme’ during a game, that would be one thing. Miur never had that and I don’t blame him for overtaking someone so inept at will.
MichaelMantastic - January 2, 2012
That's great that Muir is likely not coming back, but....
I guess we to start throwing some suggestions for OC if McD is the only Pioli can come up with. We just fired someone else for three down years, why would we want someone who failed for three years in two other places?
podolak - January 2, 2012
Wisconsin coach picks a winner.

Brsrkr - January 2, 2012

Tarkus - January 2, 2012
if muir gone
Then will nee new oline coach too. I hope at very least he comes back as oline coach.
joed2001 - January 2, 2012
Yeah, well, "retire" would suggest
that he is not coming back.
neiowakcfan - January 2, 2012
Thanks, Muir
Hope the kiddies managed to learn the right things from you. Happy retirement.
