I know this is a stretch but would anybody be willing to hire herm as a DC?

Would be interesting

i would take herm as a secondary coach thats where he belongs but

I think clark still paying him to sit at talk at espn

I'd hire him as a DB scout

I don’t like him in any coaching position but DB coach might be worth a try if Thomas wasn’t so good at it.

wait wait wait, I'm confused. If luck is considered one of the best throwing QB

then why doesn’t he throw it? say for 50+ yards?

hell even cassel can handle the ball off

You mean like

Joe Montana did? Do you realize, Luck is doing this with really no skilled players with any speed?

Blackmon= Most overrated player going into the draft.
Michael Crabtree 2.0
Are you saying that because of his position or his ability?

As in is WR overhyped in general or do you not think he’s very good?

1st round WR in general are overhyped and he's an overhyped WR

Double Whammy.

wasn't julio jones drafted in the 1st around?
In the first round way too high and at way too high a price.
too high a price=yes

is he over hyped? not in my opinion. He’s pretty good

Don't know about all that

Hes got future top 5 WR written all over him

I would hold off the top 5 WR thing until he's actually a #1 on his team going up against top defensive competition.
I said he's got it written all over him

Doesn’t mean he is one yet, he’s got everything you’d want out of a top 5 WR, just needs to clear up the drops that really haven’t been to much of a problem

sounds like bowe..maybe he'll need a port-a-potty
Much more athletic then bowe, faster too and I think he might be a little bigger

Better hops and body control too

Hands are an issue but not that bad of one, got better throughout the year.

He's got some kind of disease in his leg

It’s affecting his game

What?
They were talking about it before the game

Gundy says he isn’t in to much pain and can play through it

Staph infection or something?
Just curious because forty time is about the only knock on him.
Nah it had a weird name

IF it was staph he wouldn’t be Playing I don’t think

Sorry but I have to go with Luck

as the most overhyped overrated player in this or any draft

I can't speak to overrated as I don't follow college football as closely as some

But most overhyped in any draft? Seems about the same level of hype Reggie Bush was getting from what I remember.

Some called him the best college player ever.

Just before they started calling Tebow the best college player ever.

When I think over hyped college player

bo jackson took care of that
Wha?

Bo was great till his injury.

Bo was a special player

Ask anyone that ever played Tecmo Bowl.

bo jackson drove bosworth into the endzone on monday night football when bo played the raiders
Ah. My misunderstanding. Thought you were saying Bo was over rated.
yep, Bo pancaked him at the goal line

and walked in for the TD

Hi, ne.

I hear Stanzi’s still on the bench :)

And this:

Gotta love the steroid era

Anywho, didn’t Mandarich come back and have a respectable career with the Colts?

Yeah, that's what I heard.

Never lived up to his steroid-fuled promise, though. Too bad, he probably would’ve been a lot better player if he’d never touched the stuff.

I remember when people were calling Houston stupid

For taking Mario Williams over Bush.

Yep.

They were ripped to shreds.

And now they're stupid for putting him in a 3-4.
Nope he did good there till he got injured
Speaking to the perception, not he reality.

But in reality, he is MUCH more valuable in a 4-3.

He's valuable in either system

Would rather have him in the 43, but looked like a Hali success story in the 34

Field goal

attempt by Stanford was good. What were the officials looking at?

the cowboys coach was calling a timeout
would you take michael floyd or blackmon in the draft
alshon jeffrey

then jordan white

were does jeffrey play at I haven't seen much of him
You mustve not turned on sports center today then

He hasn’t done much this year because south carolinas QB situation is very Palkoesque this year.

i worry about jeffrey a bit

i like him the most of the WRs, but separation could be dicey for him at the next level.

He seemed fine against Dennard today.

Motivation is the key with Alshon. It’ll take the right coach and he will be permanent beastmode.

he should be pumped to play with a NFL QB next year

unless he ends up in Jacksonville

From a nontrained eye, Jeffery kinda reminds me of Jon Baldwin

big, tall, character issues, iffy seperation.

Character issues?

He’s way more of a physical freak then Baldwin and believe it or not even better ball skills. He needs to work some on route running and like I said motivation can be a factor, but give him a real QB and look out.

Dennard mugged him till they got thrown out.

Jeffrey won’t have to deal with those 15-yard chucks in the NFL.

Also NFL quality QBs dont need huge amounts of seperation.

Not like Connor Shaw who will only throw it if you’re completely wideopen.

then thats good will be okay with cassel
yeah i remember the south carolina dude, haven't seen the nebraska south carolina highlights

how big and how fast is he

6'5 233

He’ll probably run a 4.5 at the combine. He blew by a top prospect CB today on a stop and go but he doesn’t have great longer distance speed.

Jeffery or Floyd
how the hell is weeden playing at 28?
5 years of minor league baseball
basball flunky in the minors went back to school

I think we can come back next season too

You know, we should use the oregon's version of play calling

40 seconds, put up signs, hike at the 30 mark

instead of the call coming at 5 secs left

that was haley veto power screwing the offense getting the plays in
but then the 3 & outs only take

about forty seconds off the clock

Andrew Luck has only completed passes to wide open guys and easy passes so far

he hasn’t impressed me yet.

how dare you. Luck is our god. We need to draft him.

hell he’ll beat brady and manning with 1 arm behind his back

Intercepted. Still not convinced.
I thought that's what QBs are supposed to do?
did you guys see that INT? even his int is pro
Combination of bad thro good read
so he's a cassel version of orton?
Cassel is a bad throw no read kind of INT guy, Orton is a WTF? Int guy.
bad throw=cassel, good read=orton
Cassel has no read...

Just a slow drooling look at 1 receiver as the huddle breaks

LOL that is funny still laughing 6 minutes later
RG3

Ok I think I’m going to change my mind, RG3!!

RG111 atleast the guy can move like a cam newton and can throw
I'm on the RG3 bandwagon.

I think he’s better then luck. As crazy as that might be.

luck going to the colts the chiefs getting peyton manning
I'm sippin vodka

What are YOU drinking?

purple drank
Purple koolaide!!!
having an irish car bomb

after the ND game, its a little late incoming.

Don't remind me....

My bill at Applebee’s was ortocious!

mas they had the game not a big fan of brian kelly

i think he gets out coached atleast te’o coming back

True

He wants to be a Chief! Decided to get the diploma and make himself marketable

Manning will be released before March 31.

I thought he would probably do the Colts a favor by moving back the deadline for his 28 million bonus, but that doesn’t happen with Polian getting the axe. He doesn’t move it, and the Colts will have to release him (unless someone trades, which no one will when he can’t pass a physical).

No one can trade for him

The league year doesn’t big until after the bonus is due. That’s what all the noise around him agreeing to move back the date is about.

right, he will definitley be released then.

No way he moves it back now.

This Oklahoma State offense is...........dead.
That's what happens when you play a team that actually plays defense.
i put 500.00 on stanford based on your reasoning.

okie state secondary not that good.

Must be worried about their final exams....hard to focus
Where is ups?
in my pants
Bit uncomfortable...

Can you let my bro get some air?! He’s laughing at you and its muffled

is your bro gay?
Far from it

I was trying to sarcastically funny..
Epic fail

Who is stanfords RB?
I don't know, I thought Luck handed it off to himself.
DeCastro still taking care of business
He is the Cardinal we can actually get at our range.

And guess what? No need to trade up.

Blackmouns picture; Caption this:

St Louis?! Are you serious walterfootball?! St Louis?! C’mon man!!!

What did y'all think of oregons unis?

Helmet was sick!

if their unis were lime green and I was drunk, that would look awesome

But it would be beneficial for the QB, oh look shiny

I wonder if there could be an issue with glare? Looks like a mirror on their head.
They were speculating some controversy about em

A

the Defense would have issues because the glare would blind their eyes

the QB could easily locate their WR

so benefit: oregon. disadvantage: everybody else

I think that is why they won't last.

Next thing you know they will be changing there uni colours to invisible.

can the chiefs be the first to do it?
So the Ducks won't look at each other?

Or are they immune to their own glare?

why would the ducks look at each other?

btw the QB has sunglasses on.

I always hated that with Hawaii in the Brennan years.

They all got to wear shaded visors. HUGE advantage for the O if the D can’t see the QB’s and RBs’ eyes. So Colt set all kinds of Div I records, and has crapped out in the NFL – how surprising.

ADD kicking in on the line of scrimmage
LOVED the helmets.

That’s saying something because I usually hate flashy clothes/Oregon unis.

yay we have a game!!!!!!!

now time for the ass whopping to begin

Dayum!!! Weeded has got an arm!!
draft him
Ehh

Pass…

He’s a tad bit old…. But stranger things have happened

just how old is he?
I believe 28

He was drafted as a pitcher by the Yankees played low A ball and went back to college

So essentially Cassel when we got him
Older than Aaron Rodgers

So pretty old

dayne crist the new qb for kansas

watch weis make crist a top 5 qb next year in the draft.

I wouldn't be stunned if Webb is still the starter next year.
no not with weis being the coach

weis recruited crist to ND

Blackmon is so overrated
Hmmm

Maybe not

He's won trophys for his game face alone.

What game are you watching? Because he’s tearing sh$t up on my tv

does kansas have any decent wr on there team

next season

i thought weiss was bringing a bunch of people with him
dayne crist qb coming to kansas
And the BYU QB. Now that could be a future NFL player.
Robbie Bosco?
yeah he's good but has to sit out this coming season transfer rules
Martin threw some hugeblocks to spring Stewart.

watching him and Decastro pretty intently.

How's Decastro doing?

I can’t watch the game right now.

lol he pulled a becht
Almost a Donald Lee
That was funny
This game feels a bit anti-climatic

following the Rose Bowl.

that's probably because luck is overrated

he hands the ball off= top QB prospect

oregon and wisconsin= top offensive team

Not really, I'd like to see OK State make a statement...

Not because I like them but because it might have been nice to see them play LSU instead of Alabama. I already saw that game this year, LSU won.

yeah the cyclones ruined ok states party
Wait till the end. That's when the climax happens. Traditionally.
HOW ABOUT THEM COWBOYS??????????
"Blackmon is overrated."
indeed. TDs are overrated. That's why the chiefs rarely do them
Don't need to

when you hold the other team to 3 points!

settle for 3 was the motto this year for kc
did i just hear jimmy johnson
totally off topic

who was the guy with the NASTY ankle injury yesterday? And any update on that dude?

p s. when I typed in “nasty” why did my phone try to autocorrect to " masterbate"?

1) that guy that scored the TD

2) because you need to stop looking up porn. Auto update

it was a lineman

jeez, I think it was Carolina, but I could be completely wrong. all I know is my 6 year old son said " gross" when he saw the dudes foot facing the wrong way

and who’s looking up porn on my phone? just use my computer. its much faster!

not if your wife has your PW. even clearing history won't help
How would you know?
broken leg.

I heard he was Orton’s best friend or something like that.

saskwatch, was it a lineman on a different team
Chris Kuper. Broken calf, dislocated ankle.

You have a teenaged boy’s phone.

Haha.

i d rec that if I could from my phone!

Dammit. You need a better phone.
can u rec things from the an nation app?

I thought that wasn’t possible yet…Joel?

Dont think you can break a muscle

But you can dislocate the ankle, and break your fibula/tibia. Had the same injury in high school, minus the ankle. Broke my leg in half lol.

you broke your leg in half?

please post picture. cue vomiting

Dont have a picture,

just the game tape. It was both bones in my lower leg, about midway up, broke in half. My foot was almost touching my knee

Ed McCaffrey?
are you able to still walk?

that’s so messed up, I’m sick even thinking about it. usually it has to be an eye or over thing to really mess with me, but I can hear the man screaming already. frightening

Yes, I can walk lol

I had surgery that night, Titanium rod put in my leg, two plates, four screws. It was a bad deal. Didnt scream though, too much adrenaline from playing I guess. Tried to get up and walk off the field, but when I went to plan my leg, it wasnt there. I havnt seen the McCaffrey injury, so I couldnt tell you. It was almost like the Packers O-lineman that got rolled up on against us, only I was rushing the passer, and the lineman fell on my leg.

One of these days, they'll figure out how to make rigid leg guards for linemen.
Hell, I was a linebacker

and I wouldnt wear something like that anyway lol. Not to date myself or anything, but that was only 3 years ago too. So its not bad now at all.

you r a man just for enduring that

I would have been a big puss, I guarantee

blackmom is so overrated. Look at how he got that TD
Racist.
What, do you prefer asianmom, or whitemom.

I don’t really care as long as they are hotnhornymom.

milf FTW

so YOU are the one who has been on my phone!
Simply MILF works.
That guy is pretty quick for a big man
Blackmon

He doesn’t look overrated to me?!

AP has determined that he's overrated and overrated he shall be
He can't read a defense, gets happy feet, drops easy balls, get blown off the line of scrimmage and misses tackles.
Everyone has a flaw or two.
Is that a question?
Crabtree with more character and humility.
Blackmon is so overhyped and overrated
Yep

He won’t amount to anything more then Crabtree.

Lolz

Whatever you say man, with his hands, body control and YAC ability hell find a place in the NFL

Everything you just said doesn't sound eerily familliar to Crabtree coming out?
Not the body control

That’s what separates the men from the boys

Blackmon = awesome.

Crabtree = assclown.

Pretty much

Crabtree needs an attitude adjustment, Blackmon seems to be more of a leader on the field.

guess u havent watched

the second quarter of the stanford vs. Okl state game. !!!!!

You guys know how to upload to...facebook?
You guys know how to upload to...facebook
Dude that was sooo 14 seconds ago
Black dude > white dude in that commercial.
There we go. That's an NFL throw, Luck.
TD. That running play will give luck+5 points
Man these announcers are all over Lucks.. Emm... Lucky area

Its quite embarrassing! And one of these guys sounds like Maddens little brother

I think ESPN wants me to get gay for luck
Sounding like Madden's little brother

is what landed him the Lions’ GM gig, apparently.

Luck makes it look to easy to play QB
The anti-Cassel?
I know, handle the ball off and the rb gets into the end zone?

top 10 QB

Handling balls?
yes. to some people, football is a very homosexual game
Yeah it's not like he got the ball down there by passing it or anything

Nope. not at all

nope. Like how cassel can't throw the ball. It's all the receiver
Sure.....
yep. It was all the receiver. the QB is shit
Weeden threw a great pass with pressure right in his face.

Gotta love that scramble completion too.

Ref "It was a good catch!"
at least he wasn't giving him the business
yeah that was just a silly remark

I went to high school with the rt for ok state Parker Graham. I’d love to see him make a name for himself.

polian doing terribly in the 1st round of the draft finally caught up to him

dude was something in round 1

Gotta credit him for following a specific strategy for building his team.

All pass defense, all timing-pass offense.

he'd get more credit if he hit in round 1 since 2003

imagine if that team had gotten some talent in round 1 since then

This

The whole team including the defense was built around Manning. His only mistake was not having a contingency plan for Manning.

I think that was deliberate.

He already built well-rounded teams before. I think he was experimenting to see if/how well this would work.

Experimenting by showing his son what's up I guess
Yeah, there is that.

I forgot about his kid. One would think that if he was trying to bring his son along, he’d build something stable. Oh well.

Building around one player is a horrible idea

One reason I’m glad we have a GM from the Patriots “next man up” school of thought. The Polians deserved to get canned. Tom Brady went down for the Patriots and that team didn’t become the laughingstock of the league.

I’m only sorry Peyton didn’t sit out a season years ago to expose them and get a GM who could put better talent around him. Seriously how do you not win more championships with Peyton Manning?

was polian the one who said on draft day awhile back.

Who the Hell is mel kiper, when kiper bitched about there draft pick for the colts

that was the immortal bill tobin
thank you wasn't sure

they still show that clip on draft day

Joseph Addai over Maurice Jones-Drew for instance?
polian won't be unemployed for long

he was in the chiefs front office back in the day

Hope he doesn't come to the AFC West.
Chargers #1 reporter when it comes to inside info seems to think Norv/AJ will be coming back

And Chiefs fans celebrate.

Woo Hoo!

But I was hoping for Norv to be our OC.

just a poll: if your boss ask you to come to his house for a christmas party, would you guys accept?

I declined and it might bite me on the ass tomorrow

Depends. Are you female? And what was your excuse?
guy. said I rather spend time with my family.

I’m a clerk for a law firm. It’s about 25-50 people. pretty close and everybody is close to each other.

Maybe you should've used a sick day.
Family is a good excuse.

But then again, there are a bunch of really spooky movies about law firm politics.

Is you boss a complete douchebag?

If not then it probably won’t matter that much.

GenericBrand,

does that indicate you are in the pharmacy industry?

Adult entertainment
I acted without thinking. So my ass is gone. Anybody need a paralegal?
Too move up past middle management

You have to play politics… Unfortunate but true

I thought you were middle-enlisted. What do you know from politics?
I am a boss

and I think most should realize that employees don’t want to hang with us. if he’s a Dick, he will hold it against you. if he’s human, he will be grateful you didn’t come:)

I think norv is done

the curse of 14 and 2 marty schotteinheimer did him in

That curse is on AJent Smith.
how do you go 14 and 2 and get fired
Make sure your GM is an egomaniac?
haven't been the same since marty got fired
Have a Dbag for a boss.

Seriously, what grown man goes by “AJ?” Those are boy band initials.

If a grown man wants to go by his initials, then those initials must be “JR.”

AJ Foyt would like a word with you.
I've got an equations for him.

Driver =/= athlete.

Be that as it may.

AJ Foyt was the man.

He pre-dated boy bandery, so I'll give him a pass.
The Chargers are just the Chiefs of the early 90s

Same egomaniac GM, even had our HC in Schottenheimer. Dominated the regular season and did nothing in the post-season. Now their talent is slowly decaying as they shuffle around their coaching staff looking for answers.

Hunt >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Funniest ESPN comment of the day:
How the hell is Denver going to advance without the chargers playing this week?
well...how are they????
Tebow

“He just finds ways to win”

Skip Bayless, is that you?
I can't wait for the game

I can’t wait to see what Pitt’s D does to him.

Shut out at home in the playoffs....
bet your house on pitt the spread is 7 pts

where craig in calgery at when you need him parlay time.

Drowning his sorrows over the Wisconsin loss.
Peter Konz is now off my draft board
whats this week parlay craig

whats your 5 star lock

I'll do a 4 game'r this weekend

Cincinatti +3 (I can’t believe they are given points)
Detroit +10.5 (too many points, easy backdoor cover)
Giants – 3 (Don’t trust Atlanta on the big stage)
Pittsburgh -8 (I’d take this if it was -28)

No Mendenhall, no Clark, hobbled Ben, iffy offense much of the season.

But I really hope we find out who wins in a Tebow-Harrison collision.

I don't trust the Bungles.
I started pulling for Oregon

when I realized Musburger was pulling for the Big Ten. Still. Like it’s still the ’60s.

But I don't like Pitt's chances of putting up a lot of points, either.
Four weeks ago called.

They want their slogan back.

If they somehow win their first game

I think I might have to step away from anything that covers football for a while. The hype was getting unbearable.

a lot of writers took a severe credibility hit this season in their coverage of the broncos

they made an 8-8 team THE story of the season.

The story should have been how that defense let Orton down.

It was like they said “Oh crap, we got our QB fired. Guess we oughta stop screwing around.”

But really, I think it was Von Miller catching on to the NFL game.

it was a lot of random luck that can't continue as well

onside kicks, barber going out of bounds, 59 yard field goals, vikings interceptions at their own 25. all the breaks went their way for six weeks. but, when you play on the edge like that, you’re bound to face the other edge of the sword.

Twitter and blogs took their credibility away a long time ago.

Now it’s all about living in the moment, rather than accuracy and integrity.

i refuse to sign up for twitter
twitter=the stupidiest thing ever

instead of me stalking you, you tell me where you are

So you've never actually used Twitter?

Because there’s very little of people telling you whether they are.

whether=where
look at all the cels or individuals

And look at all the twitter burglaries

I'm not saying no one does that.

I’m saying that’s not at all what Twitter is about.

I love it.

But that’s not to say it hasn’t had some negative effects on journalism.

Can't wait until 2107

when Oregon wins the Rose Bowl again.

i'm lost

what’s happening for the next 105 years?

Remedial math classes
looks like i need it
You're lost in math, that's for sure!

Oregon last won a Rose Bowl 95 years ago.

kind of surprising

good for oregon

They sucked for a long time.

But yeah, that’s still surprising.

i remember when they went in the mid 90s

then joey harrington changed their program forever!

There were a few years where Pac 10 officials were boosting USC.

Oregon probably got one or two bad breaks in that time.

We need to gamble on Keenum
We need to gamble on Keenum
so you're doubling down on keenum?
Discount double check!
Mas, you and I seem to be thinking the same thing

I think Keenum will be available in rd 5 or later. if he’s there why the hell not, right?

Voice of reason

F it! Why not?!

Voice of reason

F it! Why not?!

even if u say it twice, I don't need no voice if reason!
It's the vodka

ShpulD be going to bed soon.. 1st day of school at 6am

F that. we get to play armchair GM
I wonder

if I did a double check in green bay with a chiefs jersey on…will I get shot?

You'd get swiss cheesed.
defending champs

15-1, home field advantage…..i doubt it.

I should sign up with bg brother big sister

but I’m afraid of getting charged with child molestation

Sad sign of the times.
Chiefs still have a chance to make history.

If the Pack go 18-1.

The chiefs will always be historic

Just tryin to be in the positive light not negative

funny I'm at home watching the tostito bowl and watting Aldi chips and salsa
Watting?
watching* damn my poor english
You gotta hit that SAP button for me to understand translation!
Don't you meant "eating"?

you got the watching part right the first time.

Question:

All in for…

Andrew Luck

RGIII

Or

Pass

why do you even ask?

we can’t draft that high

It's interesting seeing the vivid responses
Wrong. We CAN. But we probably won't.

If we keep Cassel/Orton/other vet so the rookie can sit, I’d prefer RG3. If he needs to start right away, then Luck.

dominique davis now!
Luck is out of the question, especially with the new admin in Indi who aren't tied to Manning

RGIII is very possble from 11, because St Louis needs alot of parts and already have their QB.
I’d do whatever it takes.

Agreed

Period.

Trade Bowe and Dorsey? Rams need those guys.
I don't want to trade Bowe, unless it's for a franchise QB.

Then, “see ya later Dwayne”.

Dorsey, I won’t lose any sleep over.

how about this

trade them #11, the 2nd rounder and baldwin

I think for us to move up, we'd have to offer something other teams can't.

We’d get outbid in draft picks and/or unproven players. So we’d have to offer proven vets that St. Louis can use.

just seems like bowe is a heck of a lot to give up

i can’t recall a draft day trade that included a player that good.

I can't either, not for a long time.

But it doesn’t need to be a draft day trade. Could be done any time after Bowe’s signed/franchised.

true, there have been plenty of those

just can’t remember one where a player that good was used just to move up in the draft and not acquire extra picks. just seems like #11 and bowe would be more than enough to move up to #2. i’m not sure i’d want to do that move.

can we trade cash for picks

we got plenty of cash, lets see if the colts will put the pick on ebay

Now that would be revolutionary.
I was thinking we could re-sign Breaston, get Lloyd and survive losing Bowe. Until the second half Sunday.

Now, not so sure.

It'd be really nice to see Bowe with a good QB

Before making a decision on him. But if we traded him for a QB who actually ended up being a franchise player there’s little doubt it would be a good deal.

no can't trade bowe sign him up
Franchise QBs made their own great WRs.
i guess cassel and franchise don't go together
Yep

Aside from Harrison and Wayne, Peyton’s WR’s were never really anything special. Brady sure didn’t have all-stars during their Super Bowl years. Rodgers and Brees likely make their receivers look better than they are.

peyton has dallas clark te and at one time marshall faulk rb
Pass

Unless the price is reasonable. I really hope we can sign Peyton in FA.

For the record I think the price will be INSANE not even close to reasonable
ALLL right gents....

I’m out!

Stanford just looks sooooooo slow.
That was the most complicated 3-yard pass ever.
Is Red Tails gonna be any good?
Hahaha that's what I was wondering

With some dubstep/electronic music in the background, interesting choice.

Ads are all about the demographics.

I saw a different commercial that actually made it look good. So now I’m conflicted.

I need one of these!

Recliner? That'd be a weird feeling.
I still can't believe Abbrederis fumbled that freaking ball, or how the ball didn't go out of bounds.

Stupid lucky Ducks.

What's up with the Badgers' coach?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DD-2UT-kBFM

Oh no! Not twice in one day!
Are you saying it snot funny?
Kuper's ankle made me flinch less.
I assume thats the nose picker?

I can’t believe adults actually do that

Especially adults who know they're on national TV.
craig bet the house on your 4 teamer
Webb City, gettin some pub.
I wish OK State had a good D line so we could judge our OGotF.
Darryl Harris?
BUCotF, with Hudson starting next year.
Trade 1st this year, 1st next year

and Cassel, and somebody else, for Luck. Draft one of his tight ends in later rounds. Any of the three would be OK. Luck will win somebody a Super Bowl.

cassel is too much to give up
I'll be glad when the draft is over.
People will still be talking about how they think it should have gone.

“I can’t believe {professional GM} didn’t draft a tackle. I would have done that {from my armchair}.” Sound familiar?

are u describing pioli or carl peterson
I might be describing you.

What do you think of our last three drafts?

I think they're over.
An accurate description.
pioli o9 draft got beat up but other wise i like what he has done

some of the talent was assembled under peterson and herm though

Just joking around about some of our AP brothers who fall in love with certain college prospects.
they didn't do a good job in free agency in adding some depth though.
why isn't gaither on this team still
THAT is a mystery. I hope the sequel to War Room has that story.
it will be weird to see manning get released by the colts, if they decide not to pay him the 28 mill
Sign of the times. Remember when teams used to be able to "sell" players for cash?

Neither do I, but I’ve seen ESPN specials that mention it.

I've got a buck sixty five

for Tyler Palko. I think he could clean my hot tub.

can someone tell me what palko contract is this year.
Non-existant?
I think there a legit shot he comes to kc

montana all over again possibly without the trade.

If he's an FA, there's got to be a good chance.

If we have to trade for him, I’m not so sure; I’m sure someone looser with their draft picks (Jets?) would pay the right price.

OK Payton

You can go to the Chiefs, or you can go to the Jets. Your call. Have you ever been to Gates or Bryants? We can get you a lifetime membership to LC’s? Oh, consolation prize….you can go back to Tennessee for a couple of years and sing Rocky Top again.

Those are the same guys still wishing we had Curry
"Well yeah, he may suck now."

“But he would have been great as a Chief!”

i think RG111 is the best way to go
Is there really 110

men in his family before him, with the same name?

Depends on how you trace his "Roots."

Too soon?

Not for a miniseries.
Let's see

You can take a 3 year winner who is an architecture major with a high GPA who has only lost to Oregon the past two years who graduated early from Stanford……or you can take a phenom from Baylor. I know which way I would go.

The phenom graduated early from Baylor with a poli sci major.

Baylor, by the way, is a pretty well regarded private school that specializes in the manufacture of politicians.

and had some guy named mike singletary play there
overrated
As a head coach.
nah, as a player

otis wilson made him

mike singletary as a player not overrated as a coach maybe
Good point

Baylor currently rated #5…..in Texas. Ahead of Texas Tech, TCU, El Paso, Kingsville and other notables.

Stanford currently rated #5….in the country.

So the school's rank says how good their QB is?

Careful, that’s a trap…..

Noooooo

….but it might say something about some of their attributes.

So Luck succeeds on a good team, and RG3 succeeds on a not so good team.
Just draft someone from the Ivy League then.

/Ryan Fitzpatrick

sign jay fiedler
If I'm selling the farm for anyone

It’s Luck. Not that the Colts are going to be listening.

this guy has no pocket awareness!
Luck fails the eyesinthebackofthehead test.
Too much eye black?
That guy that just sacked Andrew Luck

Used to kick my ass every day in practice. Blatnick is a monster.

Blackmon is so overrated.

#jumpstart

All he does is support child cancer patients.
You look up overrated in the dictionary

You find a picture of Justin Blackmon

What about a pictionary?
Swimsuit model without make-up.
Tarkus, this game getting a little less anti-climactic?
Oh yeah.

Looked like it was going to be a snorefest early on, but it’s turned into a good one.

Gundys press conference is pretty golden

Sticking it to the media is always awesome

Did anyone hear the Badgers' excuse

for that last stupid play, trying to spike the ball?

No, what was it?

I just figured they only know the running game, not the 2-minute offense.

I don't know either.

Terrible coaching and/or quarterbacking, though.

They thought it was basketball where the clock has tenths.

Or they thought the clock starts on the snap instead of the whistle.

wait the clock starts on the whistle?
It actually starts when the ref waves his hands

Apparently

o
Yep, and the ref usually blows the whistle so the players know he's waving the at the clock operator.
Yeah, when the ref winds his arm.

Because the previous play was tackled in bounds. The clock stops to move the chains, but starts again when the ref indicates they’re ready to go.

spiking with 2 secs left= noob. and if you are spiking, put the ball down immediately

don’t pull the ball back, raise it up, and then spike it

spike it on the handoff

It was silly

He pulled it all the way back to spike it down. Just throw it straight down like the good QBs do in the NFL. If they claim its a fumble, they’ll go to the tape and see it wasn’t.

again college, they're not pro bowl

that wisconsin QB will probably rate lower in the draft because of the failed spike…

shall the chiefs pick him up? I sure hope so

no, the chiefs will wait until another team gets sick of him

then he’ll come to the chiefs

hopefully indy is sick of manning
he's done far too well for himself as a QB to come to KC

only mediocre players need apply

are you going to RR once the season is over?
i'm at RR everyday
even offseason? That's dedication
the royals are my #1

one of these days the dedication will re-paid with some good seasons

we have a bunch of good pitchers this year

butler, moose, hosmer, frenchy, will destroy our enemies

CHEN will win 15+ this year

ugh, the pitching is a trainwreck

the bruce chen signing was a disaster. i like hochevar, but thats it.

I don't know why people hate chen

he wins games. Francis, Paulino, Duffy, Adcock, etc coudln’t even get 12 wins combined

paulino could bust out, but i hate watching him

too inconsistent. chen just wasn’t worth the money the gave him. he’s okay, but 2 years was a mess.

he has 24 wins in 2 years

that’s more than any other player

I’m not sure what chen has but he’s good at it

he has a lot of junk that he throws

which induces poor contact. he’s not terrible, but nothing to be excited about.

i remembered last season when chen went down

everybody was losing

when chen came back, he was the only one winning. That’s why I like chen. He’s consistent (except a few days)

pitching wins are a pretty bad statistic

he got a lot of wins despite giving up 4 runs in 5+ innings. chen is a fine 5th starter, just don’t see why the royals didn’t sign someone else like him and gain a draft pick.

because FA would cost more and they're too inconsistent

i.e. francis. Top prospect and potential

horrible in action.

I like proven pitchers. they click with the offense and the team.

Some pitchers are good but are incompatible with the rest of the team

there were a lot of guys available who would give you what chen does

most with more upside than chen. i’m not losing sleep over chen being brought back, i just didn’t like the move.

whats the over under on wins for the royals this year
we're not done drafting yet. So it's still up
i've got it at 74

most people have it at 77 probably

depends on if we draft edwin, we could get 80+
meh

a #3 starter at 11-12M a year isn’t where the royals need to invest. unless the payroll is going into the 95M range in the near future, jackson on the payroll would cause headaches down the road.

i say wait 2 months, if he's still open

give him 1 year and pay him like when we acquired chen

I would love to see crow or soria start

1 year, sure

i doubt he does that, but i’d take him for a a season just for the hell of it

when it's time for off season and nobody wants you

you’ll accept anything

not likely with boras as his agent

some team will throw 4/40 at him because he is worth it.

I actually like last season, we brought up the prospect

and let them play.

last season was fine

now it all rests on players getting close to their ceiling and finding some starters.

btw why did we release

cabara? He was a powerhouse

they didn't

traded him to san francisco for jonathan sanchez. lefty pitcher with one year of team control left. strikes a lot of guys out, walks a lot of guys, doesn’t go deep into games. will tax the bullpen, but he’s an upgrade on the innings davies, o’sullivan, mazzaro gave the team in 2011.

are we bringing more guys from AAA?

our bull pen looks a bit deserted

the bullpen is stacked

cain is a CF coming up from AAA, came over in the greinke trade. herrera might come up in the bullpen from AAA.

I hope hoch comes out consistent

maybe meche will get better and come back =D

i like hochevar

if he just throws his slider more like he did in the second half, he could be a huge improvement for the team. need him to step it up consistently once and for all.

is bubba going to AAA or is he going to the majors?

I would like to see a 2nd butler

bubba is going to low-A

kane county. dude needs a lot of work, hopefully it works out with him. boom or bust with him.

I keep hearing jack saying

Bubba is better than all the royals players

I think he’s a bit overrated

no one knows what he is yet

kansas amateur baseball leaves a lot to be desired. he did well in elite circuits though. he has a huge mechanical problem in his swing right now. probably see a lot of strikeouts with him this season. if he puts it all together though, he could be huge.

what was the win total last year for the royals does anyone remember
i do but I don't want to talk about it
let me guess the over under was 72 on wins
below, 71 wins. we were good at the beginning

horrible at the middle

hosmer came up
hoch became consistent

and we finished decent

"we're a big ten team"

“we have to play a road game in Pac-10 city”

“we sad”

"Splattered" is a too-seldom used adjective in football.
Tebowed is not...
Soon to be shelved for the off season.

:D :D :D

so...if romeo becomes our HC, who's going to be the OC and DC?
Siranni moves to OC.

Muir becomes the new DC.

Thomas for DC.

Don’t know about OC, but I hope we get one soon because he’ll need to assemble a staff and talk to Pioli about off-season strategy.

I guess HC has to come before all that.....
well it depends on what you want a HC to do

does he control the entire team?
set the tempo?
or is he basically another OC or DC?

What ever the situation, he picks his OC and DC.
what will be the score in the pitt donkey game
depends if tebow or big ben shows up

it could be a slaughter fest, a tebow fest, or like the chiefs game

20-3 steelers

my buddy plays for them, i guess i’ll root for them now that the chiefs are done

Pitt 13

Denver minus three

Oh damn what a tackle!
vermeil for oc muir oline marty for DC got to keep this 60 to 70 year old coaching tree together.
Ha! Bring back Levy and Gansz.
Open Question: Who are you rooting for in the playoffs?
SF, because I want to put some brakes on all this offense D-baggery.
SF or detroit

I like underdogs.

and maybe tebow because I would love to see elway have a fit

also I'm rooting for the bengels. Just cause
Niners.

Great D and a bust QB draft pick rejuvenated by a HC with a sack.

Houston, Detroit, New York, San Francisco

ew you like the giants?

I hate houston, overrated as fuck

Gotta give credit to a team on its fourth QB.
I like yates but I think houston is overrated

like in the pre-season, houston is going to the SB, blah blah blah

every single pre-season

The Giants mostly because a friend is a fan

I figure if my team can’t win it all, might as well pull for his.

When the Chiefs aren't in it, I cheer against teams that have won the Super Bowl the most

This year that means the Steelers, Patriots, 49ers and Packers.

Packers.

I want to be the only team that beat them.

Plus it would piss off Brett Favre.

Wheeden can stand in there, I'll give him that.
like a young chris weinke
Blackmon's so over rated.
And he has no cardio.
Levy Adcock got knocked on his ass

Doesn’t look good at guard

I thought they said he was playing left tackle?
For moved over to left guard for some reason

I suspect due to injury

Damn, that happened fast.
Luck should have won this game

single-handedly by now. I mean, 32 NFL teams have lined up for his services, and he can’t even beat a Big 12 team.

well he is an NFL QB.
Really?

Who does he play for?

I haven't seen nearly all of Luck's games,

but every time I have seen him, he’s looked very good but not like Superman. I think a lot of the hype came because he looked so good for a sophomore, but I haven’t seen a lot of progression from last year to this year.

How can you progress past perfection?
Might be like the announcers said, and he just makes it look too easy.

Also, his offense isn’t a flashy one. I readily admit that I’m not a pro QB evaluator.

score the damn TD

and don’t leave it to the kicker

he does the little things that will matter in the NFL

like that screen pass right there. dude just knows where to go with the ball when feeling pressure.

cassel or orton could have done the same

if the chiefs had a screen in their playbook

Cassel probably would have panicked

And thrown it into the turf.

Lol what are you talkin bout

We have plenty of screens

in the 90s, I haven't seen a screen all year
Are you kidding?
I'm talking full screens like in the 90s,

bubble screens, in my opinion, are not real screens

Please research the Packers game
Or the play that lost the Chiefs the first Chargers game?
This is the first I've seen of em

And yes, he does look very good.

They seem to protect him a lot

With the running game and short passes. It would have been nice to see him throw more.

he won't survive with the chiefs OL
He's calling audibles and getting guys in position

Dont see that too often from a QB In college

yeah, his game is NFL ready

everything he does could work in the NFL. thats my only fear about RGIII, a lot of what he does won’t work at the next level.

Yeah, Baylor uses him wrong.

They really should have had him throwing more and running less.

i dont know, it seemed to work
Left too much time on the clock
C'mon, throw a pick, Luck!
C'mon, smoke a joint, Luck!
OK, that was a good play.
Colts fired the entire front office.

The Polians are out.

Old news, apparently.
they fired manning??????

sweet time to recruit

Manning

is way above front office level.

One of the reasons Luck

will not be a bust.

He was considered the #1 prospect all year and the pressure didn’t get to him.

the pressure of college ball?

didn’t get to Leaf, either.

Las Vegas did though.
Las Vegas gets a LOT of people
Yep leaf especially
Leaf wasn't the top dog

Manning was…but if you are comparing Leaf to Luck you obviously don’t know about his background.

I was comparing college pressure to

NFL pressure. Not sure how you missed that… perhaps my grammar is faulty.

Well you put Leaf

in the conversation. Luck didn’t let the presssure get to him as being the top dog, and he won’t let it get to him as the #1 pick.

Leaf had red flags. But that was still an era when people didn't pay as much attention to those.
you put pressure into the conversation

maybe since Luck was already considered the top QB prospect already and had no competition, he had no pressure. Heck, who knows. Just don’t see how a guy handing it off for losses is a great NFL QB.

26/30

for 344 is handing it off? Yes, I put pressure cuz that was the topic…by putting in Leaf, you discounted it…..So there is more pressure being a guy under the radar and not talked about then a guy that was the #1 prospect all season?

The pressure

of being the best player in college….didn’t bother him

No way Luck is the best player in college.

Best QB? Maybe.

Who is the

best player in college then?

"best player"

depends on a lot of things. Position for one. But if you just go “best athlete” it’s hard to make a case for Luck over RGIII. If “QB” is the only consideration… well, you get my point.

lots of people tell me

some guy named richardson is the best player. Others say Blackmon. Some say Rief, but he’s a redneck with corn growing out his truck.

I hate college OT, but I'm hoping for it here.
And there ya go.
Love college OT.

Absolutely love it.

AHAHAHAAAAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!!!!!1!!
at least it wasn't blocked....twice
Let's go back and look at the replay of the first field goal attempt

which was inside the post

Lol luck in ot

Let’s see what he do

cuz

26/30 f0r 344 isnt enough

Hmm, I think I just saw our OGotF get beat by a blitzer.
That's it

Take him off the board. We can’t have players that make mistakes.

Me too

Seems to have trouble with that tonight

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

suck it luck

This is too much drama for luck's mama
HOW ABOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!
So, Luck hands off and loses...

Weeden passes the ball and wins.

How is throwing

30 times handing it off?

money drive for the missed FG

how many did he throw?

He threw one

With a blitzes in his face

One time

but you can’t put that on Luck….that is the Stanford offense.

So that's the reason Cassel sucks?

It’s the Chiefs offense? OK. Now I can root for Cassel again. Thanks.

You make no sense
Really?

The number one pick in the draft can’t throw the ball with the game on the line and get it in the end zone in college when every good receiver gets open? WHEEE! Let’s trade KC’s future for that. Cassel can do that.

indeed that sounds like a QB the chiefs would draft
Please name

me Stanford’s good WRs. Luck was 26/30 for 344…he had zero turnovers in the redzone all year….please do not try to say he can’t pass the ball.

but he can fumble during the hand off. is he another tebow?
lucking...nah that sounds horrible
He never fumbled the snap

Wtf

hand off= QB to RB
That's not fumbling the snap

Thats fumbling the handoff, which was on the RB anyways

Ahem...
but he can fumble during the hand off. is he another tebow?

by Chiefshero on Jan 2, 2012 11:36 PM CST up reply actions
Except he did

You have issues or something man

now we know! and knowledge is power
laces out! LACES OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i like mine with lace in
Should have just used velcro.
please do not pull a phillip rivers
BLOCK THAT KICK!!!!
screw that. COMEON COWBOYS!
I hope you realize that you just lost all credibility

for any future “draft Weeden” posts you might write :)

HOW ABOUT THEM COWBOYS

btw I’m for the wisconsin QB. not weeden

We could do worse in the later rounds.
And done. gg
Blackmon just said he's coming out.

Bizarre.

Not really. He participated in senior day.
this conversation is confusing
What context are you seeing?

first post: coming out=perverted idea
and now senior day…

Okies.....
coming out= he's gay

geeze you kids today

I'm flattered.

By the “kids” part, not the other thing.

Coming out = entering the draft
No, he JUST said it.

Heather asked him on the field after the game, and he said

“I’m gonna go ahead and enter the draft.”

Didn’t say he’d get an agent, so…

Yeah, but that's about the worst kept secret in sports.

People have known he’s coming out pretty much all year.

He didn't hurt his value any tonight.
He's so over-rated, he's under-rated.
Chiefs should trade Bowe

to move up in the draft for Blackmon.

Wow, I was just thinking that!

Good times.

If the chiefs draft weeden in the first round

I will stop being a fan of the franchise

Revised proposal

OK Colts, you can have our 1st this year and next, and Cassel, and Baldwin to replace Reggie Wayne. And if you want to play the 4-3, you can have Dorsey to go along with Freeney. Payton is going to be OK, and you can use our pick to get Keenum or somebody who you can sign much cheaper than Luck. Really. Think about it.
