Unfortunately, we're not talking about the Kansas City Chiefs today but we still have some good football on tap. We've got two games today -- the AFC and NFC Championship. The New England Patriots host the Baltimore Ravens in the early game and the New York Giants will visit the San Francisco 49ers in the late game.
Your TV viewing schedule for today is as follows:
Baltimore Ravens (12-4) vs. New England Patriots (13-3), 2:00 p.m. (Arrowhead Time), Sunday, Jan. 22, CBS
New York Giants (9-7) vs. San Francisco 49ers (13-3), 5:30 p.m. (Arrowhead Time), Sunday. Jan. 22, FOX
I've already made my picks on the game. I'm taking the Patriots over the Ravens, 30-27, and the Giants over the 49ers, 24-20. If that happens then we'll have a Super Bowl rematch which would be fitting in the year of the rematch (lookin' at you LSU and Alabama).
I'm probably looking forward to the Giants-49ers game the most, though. I'm an old-school football fan and great defenses still get me excited (that's what she said?).
We'll have an open thread for both games. Who are you taking today?

49ers and Patriots Superbowl
I say it will be a 49ers and patriots superbowl. i think the giants will fall apart and not be the same team as of late.we cannot have a ravens and 49ers superbowl that would be boring as hell.

How would that be boring?
None of the potential matchups would be boring. Especially not the Harbowl. I’m actually rooting for the Ravens and 49ers so we can see teams that haven’t been there in a long time get to play in the SB. You know, as opposed to the same teams over and over

Giants for sure and Baltimores hope lies in how healthy Reed is.

Either Pollard or Waters will be in the Super Bowl.
Wow.

Waters deserves a ring.
And I hope he gets it. Pats – Niners in the Super Bowl.

Last week
Houston was my largest wager of the season. I feel the same way about the 49ers today.
Other game is such a toss up despite the 7 point spread. I lean Baltimore to cover the spread but will be hard pressed to win this game today.

I agee with your post...
We will have a Gaints vs Patriots superbowl… Baltimore won’t score enough and the Gaints are a very good playoff Road team, so those are my picks today….
Kool TA - January 22, 2012
No Harbaughs will make it to the SB
Although, if I had my choice thats what Id wanna see…..Giants will win SB….most balanced team IMO….Offense AND defense….

Anybody know the spreads on the games?
I saw somebody above said 7 to the Ravens but is that correct? And what’s the Giants/49ers spread?
Chiefs08Matt - January 22, 2012 via mobile
I got Ravens +7.5 a few days ago
Ravens may win straight up.
neiowakcfan - January 22, 2012

Thanks
I got a bet with my father in law that the Ravens and 49ers will win and we wanted to use the spreads but didn’t know them. That 7 point spread is looking good right now with the game at 10-10. And I’m willing to give a point to the Giants. I’m feeling alright with those numbers
Chiefs08Matt - January 22, 2012 via mobile
I got Baltimore and San Francisco
