What? No Monday Night Football this week? Someone should do something about, seriously. So, Irsay and Manning have declared a "truce" for now, Gronk missed practice again and Belichick was reported to have actually smiled once over the last coupleof days. Indianapolis does funny things to people.
The 4th Ranked Missouri Tigers are in action tonight. And that's it. Really. There is nothing else happening in the universe other than that, and this open thread. So, what's on your mind tonight?

Big week for Mizzou.
At Texas today, DGB decides where he’ll play tomorrow, and then the game against Kansas Saturday.
wustl_chiefs_fan - January 30, 2012
DGB?
upamtn - January 30, 2012
The highly touted reciever who's full name escapes me right now
I heard Mizzou put on quite a show for him though.
SoCalChief17 - January 30, 2012
awesome, hope they land the guy
upamtn - January 30, 2012
They're going to need all the help they can get.
GenericBrand - January 30, 2012
Dorial Green-Beckham
A name that I had to look up.
And people are saying he’s leaning Mizzou after Arkansas was favored to land him forever. I really hope he ends up staying in MIssouri.
wustl_chiefs_fan - January 30, 2012
Itd be a nice change for once
A big time player not running off somewhere else. I was really hoping Zach Banner would end up at UW but that fell through.
SoCalChief17 - January 30, 2012
yeah, all about bigtime recruiting now ...
flap not long ago about some guy in Texas was steering kids towards Oregon …
follow the money
upamtn - January 30, 2012
You mean Mac Brown was upset that others were out bidding him so he snitched to the NCAA?
HIV 2 Elway - January 30, 2012 via mobile
Hater
RememberDelaney37 - January 30, 2012 via mobile
On snitches or Mac Brown?
Either way, yes, I hate both of them.
HIV 2 Elway - January 30, 2012 via mobile
I just got back from Tennessee last night
My mom got offered a job and I went with her to check it out. I’m pretty sure I’m goin to be living in Knoxville within the next 2 months. Any APers out there? SEC country, all that fun stuff. I’m gonna have to change my username…
SoCalChief17 - January 30, 2012
wow, grats to Mom!
but if you change your name, how will we know it’s you?
as a Mizzou fan it’s going to be really strange seeing the Tigers play in the SEC …
upamtn - January 30, 2012
SoCalChief17turnedintoKnoxChief17
Haha I’ll have to figure something out. I’ve never been to a college game, but I figure if I’m gonna start it might as well be with the SEC. I hear gamedays are insane.
SoCalChief17 - January 30, 2012
My dad lives out that way in Sevierville, Tn.
It’s out by the Smoky Mountains. My favorite vacation spot! Love it out that way. It’s so beautiful all year.
Good luck with everything!!
Matt_Grbac - January 30, 2012 via mobile
I have no idea where that is but I'll definitely be checking it out
So much different from LA. Completely different world.
SoCalChief17 - January 30, 2012
I bet
I never been to LA. But i know life in the south is way slower. It’s much more simple and layed back.
You get to find out about good old southern sweet tea, mashed potatoes, and grits.
Matt_Grbac - January 30, 2012 via mobile
are those instant grits?
fongKC - January 30, 2012
No self respectin
Southerner uses instant grits!
Big Reese - January 30, 2012 via mobile
Sweet tea had me hooked
I wanted to try more southern food while I was there but I was on a really small budget. The food excites me the most lol
SoCalChief17 - January 30, 2012
God how I miss Southern Style Sweet Tea.
I miss Memphis, and May is coming soon. /cry
DivineGrace - January 30, 2012
Thats what yearly droughts and daily wildfires do to the land in LA,
my dad took me back to his hometown in W. Virginia. Laid back, beautiful and too many damn hills!!!
LAChief97 - January 30, 2012
Still going atrong
Almost 2 months into my new job after being off 4 months.
Still learning a lot. Great boss and fun coworkers….makes the transition a lot easier.
Anyone out there struggling to find work….hang in there. Keep your head up and keep a strong faith. Do not get too discouraged because it all works out in the end.
Remember nobody cares what you know until they know that you care. Show your true heart and determination and you will succeed.
Ok….I’m done with my speech now ;)
Matt_Grbac - January 30, 2012 via mobile
Good words..
chiefsfan62 - January 30, 2012 via mobile
24 hours in the Twin Cities
Cant wait to back to KC in the ghetto
HIV 2 Elway - January 30, 2012 via mobile
So I've been on the Rams SBNation site a lot the past couple days.
And I think they have to be the favorites to move to LA. Between the games in London and Kroenke trying to buy the Dodgers, St. Louis may be without an NFL team in a couple years.
wustl_chiefs_fan - January 30, 2012
I could be wrong (and usually am) but I don't think he can own the Dodgers AND an NFL team in the same city
upamtn - January 30, 2012
You have it backwords.
He can’t own the Dodgers and an NFL team in different cities. That’s why him buying the Dodgers is such big news.
wustl_chiefs_fan - January 30, 2012
see? told you I'm usually wrong :-)
upamtn - January 30, 2012
Right.
Tarkus - January 30, 2012
I really think this may have had something to do w/ Jeff Fisher's decision
He is a Southern Cal guy. His decision would make a lot more sense if the Rams were to move to LA soon….
ExRoyalsFan - January 30, 2012
That's actually the one argument for them staying.
During that whole drama, people were saying that he didn’t want to go through a move like he did with the Oilers/Titans, so the Rams had to convince him that they were staying.
wustl_chiefs_fan - January 30, 2012
OKC Thunder!!
masonsixer - January 30, 2012
Apparently the Steelers are supposedly interested in Haley as OC,
despite how horrible his decisions were{ Starting Palko and putting Muir as OC} i cant help but wish him the best. That and at least we wont see anymore 3andout as i standard offensive plan.
LAChief97 - January 30, 2012
I know things went bad for Haley, but I liked him alot
He took over the worst Chiefs team I can ever remember us fielding in my lifetime and in 2.5 years helped us do a complete 180.
Thank you Todd for all you have done for the Chiefs and Kansas City!
DivineGrace - January 30, 2012
To be honest i have a mixed view on him,
yeah he did revive the team in his second year and brought out the best of our players. However his decisions in his final year were terrible and continuing Palko as our starter was just infuriating to me.
LAChief97 - January 30, 2012
I agree that this last season was less than ideal. So many injuries.
I guess he thought Stanzi was not ready, and to be fair… giving Orton a week or two to get up to spead with this offense wasn’t that bad of an idea.
DivineGrace - January 30, 2012
haley called the offensive plays this year
muir was the puppet
niageriannit1 - January 30, 2012
My mom is taking a trip to Savannah, GA soon.
Does anyone know of ‘must see or do’ there?
chiefsfan62 - January 30, 2012 via mobile
I just left Atlanta a few days ago
It was really really pretty down there. We checked out the scenery a lot. Being from Cali I can’t really tell you much. Google it though, I’m sure you’ll find a lot of good info.
SoCalChief17 - January 30, 2012
Sounds good -
Thanks..
chiefsfan62 - January 30, 2012 via mobile
Ghosts tours are fun.
The Juliette Low house or one of the house tours are nice. Telfair Museum is a sweet art museum. Best advice is to go back over St. Patrick’s Day.
BeauJackson - January 30, 2012
Right on -
It may be in March when she goes.

DivineGrace - January 30, 2012
my favorite bowl game of all
upamtn - January 30, 2012
Was this played in Cali?
If so I served some of these females today for lunch…The playoffs or championship or whatever was played at the arena across the street and some of the team came in.
SoCalChief17 - January 30, 2012
If that is the case, go ahead and change you name from SoCalChief17 to SoLuckyChief2012. ;-)
DivineGrace - January 30, 2012
That picture is from their regular season game in Vegas.
But the WC championship game was in Ontario, CA.

"Law Firm" has never fumbled the football ...
interesting story … and helluva streak: over 500 touches in his career, zero funbles
upamtn - January 30, 2012
McCluster needs to read this article ASAP!!!
LAChief97 - January 30, 2012
Aaaand jinxed.
ArrowSpread - January 30, 2012
27-22 Mizzou at half.
Mizzou averages 82 points per game. I guess Texas should feel good about keeping Mizzou below 30 for a half, even if they are still losing.
wustl_chiefs_fan - January 30, 2012
horrible shooting from the field, both teams
combined 1 of 16 from 3 pt land … brutal
upamtn - January 30, 2012
Both defenses playing well (or both offenses playing badly)
Texas averages 74 points a game.
Just tuned into the game for the last 3 minutes of the half. Where is Ratliffe? Foul trouble?
RememberDelaney37 - January 30, 2012 via mobile
Oh, the pain! The agony of it all!
No MNF! No college football! Just one NFL game left! Withdrawels…depression is already creeping upon my pitiful soul! One respit remains…if only MIZZOU can score the nation’s top recruit…Please stay in-state D.G.B. please!
TOUGH - January 30, 2012
