Wallace Gilberry on Twitter: "Down 5lbs 5 more to go and it's on!!!!!" Hmm guess he realized he's a better pass rusher without the extra weight.

to get better at stopping the run and be more like a 3-4 DE. He wasnt the same player this year as he was in 2010 though.

I’d probably take a month off if I was an NFL player.
He just bulked up. His weight was just about the same, like within one pound.

He said Gilberry weighed in about the same, though his weight may have been distributed differently.
"He’s not but two pounds off of what he was last year," Haley said. "It might just be redistributed a little differently."

He’s got a chip on his shoulder being an UDFA.. He’s the type of locker room guy we want.

We need pass rushers, we’re aware of what Gilberry can do at the right weight etc and he went out in his contract year and screwed himself. So we get to re-sign an 8-10 sack guy cheap cheap cheap.

And is now trying to lose it?
ChiefWarPaint - February 12, 2012
No he added the weight before the season
to get better at stopping the run and be more like a 3-4 DE. He wasnt the same player this year as he was in 2010 though.

But maybe after the season he put on more weight?
I’d probably take a month off if I was an NFL player.
ChiefWarPaint - February 12, 2012
He didn't put on weight.
He just bulked up. His weight was just about the same, like within one pound.

This worked out ij for the Chiefs
We need pass rushers, we’re aware of what Gilberry can do at the right weight etc and he went out in his contract year and screwed himself. So we get to re-sign an 8-10 sack guy cheap cheap cheap.
