Good morning and welcome to your offseason, holiday Arrowheadlines. Not a lot of Kansas City Chiefs news. Enjoy.
The relationship between the Kansas City Chiefs and the people of Kansas City can be attributed, for the most part to three men - a robust mayor, a former All-American football player, and one of the nation's leading Chamber of Commerce executives. They were the key figures in events which culminated May 22, 1963 with the announcement by Lamar Hunt that he was moving his Dallas Texans to the Heart of America.

Based on the buzz around the league, the Seahawks could be the early frontrunner for Peyton Manning, assuming he is released. Pete Carroll needs a quarterback and is believed to have a strong interest in at least exploring Manning. The Seahawks could offer Manning an attractive scenario. They have a young team with some fine skill players to put around him. They play in one of the league's loudest stadiums. Manning wouldn't be subject to the same kind of scrutiny in Seattle that he would in a lot of other markets.

When you say not a lot
You mean not a lot

I wasn't ready for this. :)
I thought we’ve had a decent amount of Chiefs news out there for it being the offseason. Then, yesterday for the first time I saw three consecutive front page stories be a night thread, Arrowheadlines, followed by another night thread. And now I’ve seen my first two story Arrowheadlines. Oof. At least it won’t be long before things pick up again.

Combine starts Wed ... by that afternoon or Thurs you'll have stories about players you never heard of
by Sat you’ll see stuff about players their own mamas never heard of

If Manning and Wayne Are a Package Deal
then I really don’t think we have a chance…unless they let Bowe walk (which would be a really bad decision)

Wayne isn't a #1 WR anymore
he is still good, but because he has lost a step he struggles to get open and because he is on the tail end of his career he wouldn’t be very expensive. Think Torry Holt a couple years ago.

Manning in Seahawks colors... Ugh... Just doesn't seem right

I think it's funny how every place is a good place for Manning except KC
KingChief - February 20, 2012
Which should automatically make KC the favorites.

Manning / Wayne package deal makes sense because of their chemistry...
Kinda like Cassel / Vrable…Oh Wait…
KCChef - February 20, 2012
You could just about substitue the Chiefs into everything that said Seahawks and have it be true.

I say let Seattle take peyton
and we will take our franchise QB RG3!

So easy to say
much harder to do. Unless you want to sell the farm.
Eastcoastransplant - February 20, 2012
why would Manning want to play in the 49ers' division?
there’s may other reasons why this doesn’t make sense

I cant take this guy seriously when he says
Hoffman did a good job in KC the last 2 seasons. Colquitt and Succop are good kickers without that dude and we ran exactly 1 kick/punt back the past 2 seasons under him. Tell me exactly how the Raiders are getting a good ST coach? Especially when they have Lechler and SeaBass back there doing what they do. Doesn’t make much sense to this Chiefs fan…

Hoffman will teach them how to get their kicks/punts blocked
