We are finally at the end of the work week and I'm ready to settle down for the night with a few friends. I hope you have an equally relaxing evening in store for you.
Make sure you give us your victory of the week in the comments, whether that's personal, professional or both. My victory of the week isn't that exciting - we've got a great Super Bowl posting plan put together for SBNation.com and other sites and that in itself is a victory.
In addition to the victory of the week, use this as your open thread for the night. What is everyone up to this evening?

he started the bad policies, FDR accelerated them…kinda like how GW, a progressive, started the bad policies of our current recession and BHO has accelerated them.
chiefsandcigars - February 3, 2012
GW, as in Bush, a progressive?
Surely you’re joking. And Hoover opposed the new deal, with the country starting to recover after FDR took office.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
Yes, Bush was a progressive
Patriot Act, Bailouts…“To save the free market by bypassing the free market”….yea, thats progressivism not conservatism. The country didnt recover after FDR took office, it continued to go downhill until the Nazis took over the Weimar republic and forced the world to start preparing for war. Even then it took the destruction of the majority of the industrial world economies to bring us out of it.
chiefsandcigars - February 3, 2012
The Patriot act and Bailouts are not progressive.
Just because you disagree with them doesn’t make them progressive. They certainly aren’t conservative either, they are just stupid.
The country did recover before WW2, it recovered quite a bit. Check out these graphs, and keep in mind that FDR came into office in 1933, and Pearl Harbor was in December of 1941. There was a clear recovery between those two events.
Certainly, the fact that we were the only world power to not get bombed was a significant contributor to our economic prosperity after that, but it was not the only reason we recovered from the great depression.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
Unemployment remained above 15% and you call that recovery??
Search and seizure without just cause and redistribution of wealth are certainly both progressive policies…ones both WW and FDR advocated and tried to implement (FDR did with SS, price controls, and other parts of the new deal).
chiefsandcigars - February 3, 2012
Since when has warrantless search been progressive?
I’m not aware of FDR ever proposing warrantless searches. Bush and Obama have both pushed for it, and bills were passed with bipartisan support that increased those powers. It simply isn’t a conservative or progressive issue, although most people who opposed it
As for “redistribution of wealth”, progressives certainly support policies that benefit the poor and middle class at the expense of the rich, but the bailouts were the reverse. The very wealthy banks got free money from taxpayers. Again, neither a conservative nor progressive issue (since it is government spending, which conservatives are supposedly opposed to).
Considering that it was above 20%, dropping down to 15% is not that bad, and it was clearly trending downwards by the time the US got involved in WW2.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
Well
$400 billion dollar Medicare part D expansion (cost analysis over 10 year budget window, significantly worse when viewed over longer term)? check.
$170 billion fiscal stimulus program? check.
Those are just a handful of progressive policies.
Sudden - February 3, 2012
That stimulus was mainly tax cuts.
But Medicare part D is is far outweighed by the huge number of conservative policies he pushed through.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
I do agree Obama is continuing some of Bush's bad policies.
The tax cuts for the rich are absurd, yet we still have them after 3 years of Obama. Not to mention the lack of real regulations on the banks to prevent another economic disaster.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
Financial sector is the most heavily regulated sector of the economy other than healthcare.
Sudden - February 3, 2012
It was regulations on the banks that started the housing crisis!
Clinton and Barney Frank passed an act that FORCED banks to lower their lending standards…essentially making loans to people who could never afford to pay them back. Then to hedge those mortgages, they packaged them and sold them back to other banks or the government. When those people who couldnt afford a mortgage on their McMansion eventually defaulted, then the housing sector began to collapse.

http://reason.com/archives/2009/05/20/the-housing-boom-and-bust
chiefsandcigars - February 3, 2012
The system didn't collapse because of regulation.
The entire reason we had to bail out the banks was because they over leveraged themselves and, had they collapsed, millions of people would have lost their savings.
So during the financial reform debate, there was a proposal to make it illegal for banks to gamble like that if people had accounts there. That way, if a company gambled and went broke, nobody would lose their savings. That idea was shot down.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
As it should have been shot down
The federal government has no place telling a private industry how to manage its risks. People are too trustworthy of banks as it is. Banks have a right to go bankrupt and the people who happened to lose in them, well, thats too bad. Hopefully they will turn to charity to dig them out of their hole and make better financial decisions the next time. Choosing an appropriate person/group/business to hold on to your money should be taken more seriously. If people we more serious about it, then we would have a more intelligent populous…perhaps one where Jersey Shore and Teen Mom are not shows to be celebrated.
chiefsandcigars - February 3, 2012
Asking a bit much, there
Perhaps you need to educate the masses.
ArrowSpread - February 3, 2012
Why would it fall to me?
Shouldn’t they be responsible enough to educate themselves? I will help where I can, but it should be their responsibility for their own education. Just as I was responsible for mine.
chiefsandcigars - February 3, 2012
Not everybody has the time or resources to do that.
Can you imagine a poor single mother taking a couple hours between her two jobs making sure the bank she’s using isn’t doing anything bad?
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
If here savings are important enough to her to work those two jobs
then she will make the time to do a little research on the lending habits of her bank before she opens an account. When you deposit money into a bank, dont you like to know where it goes and how it gets there?
chiefsandcigars - February 3, 2012
The problem is that you can say that about anything.
The government shouldn’t regulate food, people should just research which brands are safe.
The government shouldn’t have safety standards in cars or planes, people should just research which companies don’t have many crashes.
Eventually, you get to the point where we’re all spending our time researching everything we buy to make sure it’s safe and works. It’s more effective to just have the government do it so we can concentrate on living our lives without worrying that we’re getting screwed over by the companies we buy stuff from.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
Its not wise for companies to screw over their customers
once the consumers find out they will go out of business. That is the free market at work. The government can’t do anything right to begin with, even regulate. How many people have died from food poisoning? Plane crashes? Defective cars (including the ones MADE by the government)? etc. Government regulations are full of waste and do more harm than good. The solution is not more government, its a more responsible population.
chiefsandcigars - February 3, 2012
Very few people die from those causes.
The point remains, the amount of time it would take for a person to research every buying decision they make would far outweigh the negatives of regulations.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
Not true.
How many people have died of malaria since DDT was wrongfully banned? How many people have died waiting on FDA approval on drugs (approx 4.7 million over the past 40 years)
http://www.lewrockwell.com/block/block68.html
Not to mention the overbearing cost of these regulations on economic development and innovation.
chiefsandcigars - February 3, 2012
About 6 people die per year in the US from malaria.
And most of those are from people who caught it outside the US.
The FDA is far more complicated. You have to find the right balance between making sure medicine is safe and effective without it being too much. The problem with life saving medicines is that people in that situation are desperate, so it is easy to scam them into buying something that doesn’t work, oftentimes causing them to refuse treatment that does work.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
How many across the world?
It was nearly wiped out until DDT was banned. Millions have died since then from a disease we could have eradicated. Again, companies are going to test their drugs and doctors are going to research them and recommend them to appropriate patients, if they dont, then the drug companies will lose business if the public finds out their drugs are killing people. Leave it to the free market, an unbiased media, and a semi educated public and you dont need wasteful government regulations.

and yet they mostly do nowadays
Customer service appears to be a thing of the past. Cell phone companies are a good example of this. I’m all for regulation. If we’d actually had regulation, a lot of the toxic assets meltdown wouldn’t have happened. There are some great documentaries about this. There was one regulator in particular who was screaming about the derivatives market but the free marketeers such as Greenspan shot her down and actually destroyed her position in the government. The free market religion has done more damage to this country than anything else I can think of in my lifetime.

I have an address here and there and sorta make money in both places so I’m only 1/2 abusing the system.

A year too long but meh. It beats travelling back and forth until this medical crap gets sorted out.
GenericBrand - February 3, 2012

That would be a blast.
saskwatch - February 3, 2012
Yea would be easy if you're in Regina
I’ve done the drive alot and its not so bad. 23 hours, 2545 KM, from here, with limited breaks and a clean border cross. I usually do it all at once.
GenericBrand - February 3, 2012
I am actually in Estevan, right against the border in the east corner, probably could make it to Arrowhead in 13 to 14 hours from here.
saskwatch - February 3, 2012
Ya thats the crossing i use.
That back highway in SD is iffy in Spring and Winter but good in the fall. But ya we should really have a pilgrimage to Arrowhead sometime.

wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
Hey hey!
A pulse!
how’s school?
Buck'O - February 3, 2012
I'm graduating in May.
It will be the greatest day of my life. I’m so sick of school and living in St. Louis. It’s to the point that I think I’d be happier working as a janitor than going to school for another year.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
Carl the Janitor? ;-)
I’m more convinced now in my old age that it doesn’t so much matterr WHAT you do as long as what you do makes you happy … happy while doing it
ie, it’s not the money it;s the feeling you get
upamtn - February 3, 2012
I've got to try that once before I die.
electriclight - February 3, 2012
Fingers crossed
and grats in advance! Grad school yes?
Buck'O - February 3, 2012
Nope.
Decided I’ve had enough of school. I’m going to go straight into the workforce. It’s not the best job market to go into, but my field has relatively low unemployment. Besides, I can live on a low budget, so I can take a terrible job in the short term even if I can’t find a good one.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
Well good luck
pullin’ for you ;)
Buck'O - February 3, 2012

Hopefully you’ll get further updates in a VOTW.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
looking forward to seeing how you break out of ol' St. Louie
Buck'O - February 3, 2012
I hate St. Louis so much.
The Science Center down here was at the career fair I went to, and it looked like a place I would really love to work. Yet I would only take the job as a last resort, since it would mean living in St. Louis. If I had to choose between making 50k in KC or 75k in St. Louis, I’d take the 50k without even having to think about it.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
oh hell yeah
never liked St Louis …
KC is so much better in a million facets, not even close
upamtn - February 3, 2012

Every once in a while I randomly think about how weird it is to be a Physics major.
Today in my Environmental Physics class the professor joked that the del operator is just a triangle if you try to explain this stuff to your parents. But it got me thinking, the del operator is so complex that you have to know calculus to even know what it is, yet when somebody uses it I don’t even hesitate. My math abilities are so far beyond an average person’s that it would take years of studying for them to even understand how complicated the stuff we’re doing is.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
and that's a way cool talent and ability to have
upamtn - February 3, 2012
I'm not so sure it's "cool"
But, as my professor also said, the more people who can’t do math, the more money I make for doing math.
wustl_chiefs_fan - February 3, 2012
Oh, MATH...
Damn, and here I thought my professor was saying METH. Sure wish I’d have paid better attention.
Tarkus - February 3, 2012

upamtn - February 3, 2012
A guy I know was telling me about this asian girl who pronounced "math" as "meth"
So they would ask her “So, you do meth a lot?” and she’d say “Yeah, all the time”. Or they’d ask “How long have you been doing meth” and she’d say “For many years”.

ArrowheadHunter - February 3, 2012
Remember when we assembled RC and Weis to run out defense/offense?
And then we won 10 games, the AFC West championship, and sent a few players to the probowl?
They leave and what happens? Less than mediocrity. Not a fan of this Pioli, not a fan at all.
SoCalChief17 - February 3, 2012
we still have Crennel
and Pioli! (oh joy)
upamtn - February 3, 2012

Stupid Hire
Pioli needs to get over the Patriots tree and hire the best man. This guys track record does not show success as an O-Cord. Now we are gonna trust him to fix the offense, and be successful with Cassel as the QB. Stupid hire, Saunders to me was the best guy interviewed, and Zorn probably should have been given a shot over Daboll. Pioli frustrates me yet again.
ForeverAChief58 - February 3, 2012
just wait
he won’t sign Manning either…OR trade up in the draft.
Chief Willie Wildcat - February 3, 2012
Isn't it Romeo's hire?
Tarkus - February 3, 2012
It is
and it’s part of the reason why his HC record is less than stellar.
This is a helluva buzzkill.
Buck'O - February 3, 2012
At least I won't get my hopes up about a killer offense and winning season
ArrowheadHunter - February 3, 2012
same
and if the planets were to align, no way Pey-Pey comes to town with this kind of a hire. Gawd!
Buck'O - February 3, 2012
Should have not let him choose his own staff then
This guy is a proven average at best
ArrowheadHunter - February 3, 2012
Shouldn't have named him HC if he didn't trust him to hire his staff.
Tarkus - February 3, 2012
This is the first move that solidifies the thinking of:
Fantastic DC
Meh HC
We’ll see how the rest of the offseason goes….

This hire pisses me off
I hope Daboll can prove me wrong but compared to who else was interested, he has a crap resume. Anything is better than Old Man Winter sleeping on the job but come ON.
Tyran - February 3, 2012
dude haley called the plays old man winter was over ruled by haley
niageriannit1 - February 3, 2012
Daboll
figured out how to get something going in the second half of the year in using R Bush and a horrible QB , once the defense started clicking. Coming into a similar but better situation here methinks
allhailhali - February 3, 2012
He ain't gonna be Frank Haith
Come from Miami to Missouri and light shit up
ArrowheadHunter - February 3, 2012
Nooooo!!!
This blows dead dogs!
clarksvillechiefs - February 3, 2012 via mobile
Maybe the Chiefs will finally throw Daboll down the field!
Tarkus - February 3, 2012
haaaaahahahahahahaha good one!
upamtn - February 3, 2012
They better hurry up and throw Daboll
before Al Saunders loses interest in the job
Buck'O - February 3, 2012
You are getting a +1, I needed a laugh after this crap news.
Tyran - February 3, 2012
Dabhole+Casshole
GenericBrand - February 3, 2012
Oh my GOD!
Say it isn’t so!
Imma puke
Buck'O - February 3, 2012
How many seaso tickets will now be cancelled
Dumbasses
ArrowheadHunter - February 3, 2012
P(_)UR%:IKLJFDSFS:FJKS:
UGH Al Saunders just made SO MUCH SENSE to me. The only logical explanation is that something happened and the Raiders are going to keep him on staff so KC went with Daboll. If they chose Daboll over a willing Saunders this organization is beyond retarded.
Tyran - February 3, 2012
Short bus shuttle to arrowhead drive
ArrowheadHunter - February 3, 2012
well ...
1) we don’t know if the Raiders did or did not block it
2) we don’t know if he was asked
3) we don’t know if he would have accepted if he HAD been asked
and we never will at this point
upamtn - February 3, 2012
sadly
we won’t
Buck'O - February 3, 2012
STOP THE LOGIC
LET ME WALLOW IN MY SORROW. At least my glass of Makers is making me happy.
Tyran - February 3, 2012
warm oatmeal is better than sorrow
cleaner than mud, and edible, too
upamtn - February 3, 2012
The last time I felt this way was when we hired Herm.
I thought…wtf are we doing hiring a “meh” coach from a team who doesnt want him around in the first place? Luckily all this guy can do is ruin the offense…oh wait thats been done already.
Tyran - February 3, 2012
I think this hire sucks
In 3years we will be repeating the coaching carousel. Patriots way pfft more like the raiders
ArrowheadHunter - February 3, 2012
If "down the field" means a 3 yard bomb
Behind the wr. Then I’d say yes
clarksvillechiefs - February 3, 2012 via mobile
Where's the kool-aid man when you need him?
Buck'O - February 3, 2012
wait...
this might send him over the cliff
Buck'O - February 3, 2012
x
upamtn - February 3, 2012
Offense can't get much worse then it was this year
But I was hoping for it to get better then this. Why the hell did it take so damn long to hire this shmuck?
GenericBrand - February 3, 2012
Good question. Not like Miami was deep in the playoffs.....
Tyran - February 3, 2012
Hopefully this is all just a Rick roll
ArrowheadHunter - February 3, 2012
McCoy 2 KC next
just you wait and see, i just asked my magic 8 ball…. and the bottom of a shot glass
allhailhali - February 3, 2012
My magic 8 ball says theres enough Brown connections on this team

thats right i forgot, tebows playing priest and quinn is playing altar boy and getting ruined….
allhailhali - February 4, 2012
denver
niageriannit1 - February 4, 2012
I knew it
Daboll knows the Patriots way. Not gonna be a guy that ask questions or says no.
Pioli is trying to create an extension of the Patriots instead of building an original team for us fans.
The Pats worked because of Brady and Belichick….thats it!! Not Pioli not Crennel and not Weis.
Waiting this long for Daboll?!?!?! I swear….I knew this would be a BIG let down!
Crennel and Pioli need to go back to New England so they can suckle back up to Belichicks nipples….apparently they were never weaned off!
Matt_Grbac - February 3, 2012 via mobile
lol
I think the mental image might scar me for life
Buck'O - February 3, 2012
Maybe Schefter will reneg
GenericBrand - February 3, 2012
He better get busy
Buck'O - February 3, 2012
Tebow must have done this to us
ArrowheadHunter - February 4, 2012
so much for VOTW
we just joined the fail of the month club with this one
Buck'O - February 4, 2012
Pitchfork? Check. Torch? Check. Anger? Check.
Which way to Pioli’s?
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
you know that won't do anything useful ...
… Cassel will warn him and he’ll get out and be right back at the office the next day
upamtn - February 4, 2012
Rec
Ats awesome
ArrowheadHunter - February 4, 2012
Hahahaha
Buck'O - February 4, 2012
and worse!
Cassel saves him from a burning house and he’d feel so indebted for Cassel saving his life that Cassel would be named “Quarterback for Eternity”
come on, guys … you gotta THINK! be CREATIVE!
upamtn - February 4, 2012
Ambered.
Tarkus - February 4, 2012
Crennel picking the same people for his staff
Is just like us marching Cassel out there at qb. They continue to do the same thing that didn’t really work all that well but expect a different result for some reason
ArrowheadHunter - February 4, 2012
"Is just like us marching Cassel out there at qb."
Wait for it, wait for it….
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
but... but... but...
in 2010 he led us to the playoff and went to the pro bowl. He can be goooooooooood!
(said in high pitched whiney nasally voice)
Buck'O - February 4, 2012
In nick wrights contradictory voice
He was in the playoffs and went to the pro bowl, right
ArrowheadHunter - February 4, 2012
How does Pioli not see
That we went to the playoffs using one of the weakest schedules, and Cassel lucked into the pro bowl cause some of the real qb’s backed out. Were gonna be searching for a whole new regime within three years, GM, HC, the whole 9 yards. Worst part of that is that this nice core we have wont stay young forever!!!!!
ForeverAChief58 - February 4, 2012
FBSOTW
Dabhole being hired by Pee-Hole-ee just so they can stick us with another year of Casshole.
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
maybe ... we get Henne! (I'm so EXCITED!)
upamtn - February 4, 2012
I like how they announce it in the middle of the night.
Try to sneak it by us.
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
Right before mu ku dominates the KC news
ArrowheadHunter - February 4, 2012
feels like we got the harry reid/ nancy pilosi/obama care treatment on this one doesn't it?
Buck'O - February 4, 2012
Yes.
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
yeah we need to pass the bill first then find out whats in it
niageriannit1 - February 4, 2012
feels more like the "Saddam has WMD & they are aimed at us" treatment to me
jmcgoblue - February 4, 2012
yeap just like when the colts left baltimore
niageriannit1 - February 4, 2012
What other GM candidates are out there?
After this year we might need to holler at the Clark’s and see what we can do about this mess
ArrowheadHunter - February 4, 2012
I'm available
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
I have an Etch A Sketch!
lemme draw up a play …
upamtn - February 4, 2012
You're my first hire.
To replace one of the other grumpy old bastards that does whatever it is that Pioli lets them do. Photocopy?
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
Ohhhh
You can be my official room bugger.
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012

niageriannit1 - February 4, 2012
3 Words!
WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT???
Jason Drue Keith - February 4, 2012
Phonetically
I see what you did there
ArrowheadHunter - February 4, 2012
yes
and I concur
Buck'O - February 4, 2012
so what does this mean?
will we not draft some massive O-line beast? Will we stick with these smallish ZB linemen and try to keep this same stupid ass system going?
Buck'O - February 4, 2012
Same stupid system.
New monkey to run it. Makes me think even more that theyre going with Cassel and that this other bs about competition is just lip service.
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
No no no we are having more competition
Ready to buy tickets now?
ArrowheadHunter - February 4, 2012
agreed
Buck'O - February 4, 2012
If you were really thinking there could be a new QB then there would be no need to try to keep the same bogus offensive system in place.
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
means holding #67 is back
10 yard penalty 3rd down
niageriannit1 - February 4, 2012
How is this the answer to the Crennel stating he wants a guy who can come in and handle the entire offense because he'll be too busy.
If Daboll is the answer then you are asking the wrong question.
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
Now they'll have to franchise Bowe to keep him here
Buck'O - February 4, 2012
Okay! To brighten the mood while the Daboll news sinks in...
The day has arrived! I will be paying CLOSE attention to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductees announcement! I am pulling SO much for THREE guys! Former Kansas City Chiefs players Will Shields and Willie Roaf are two of the three. It ALWAYS looks good to see Canton with a little more RED! I am also pulling hard for former Wichita State Shockers Alumni Bill Parcells! It’s been over 25 years since Cessna Stadium saw Shocker Football and it still hasn’t completely worn it’s history out! MAYBE one day, there will be college football return to Wichita(other then Friends University OF COURSE/Go Falcons!)!!!
Jason Drue Keith - February 4, 2012
Shit comes in three
1. Cassel
2. Daboll
3. No Shields in HoF
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
I'd say buzzkill
BUT that happened TEN minutes ago! :-/
Jason Drue Keith - February 4, 2012
Wait wait
Maybe we are jumping to conclusions too fast here.
Read this little article on Daboll….kinda inspiring. http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins_in_depth/2011/12/brian-daboll-willing-to-embrace-the-unorthodox.html
He has never really had much offense talent to work with as OC.
The article talks about how creative and different his offensive playcalling is. That is great compared to Muirs playbook consisting of a draw play and screen pass.
Maybe he can do some work with our talent.
Matt_Grbac - February 4, 2012 via mobile
Frank Haith
Is at mizzou.
ArrowheadHunter - February 4, 2012
The one thing I liked of his was that crazy crossing route by the TE for the TD
The problem is Cassel is no Moore and he cant make that throw.
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
this is a typical AP over-hatred of MC
Cassel is at least Moore’s equal.
kcsno56 - February 4, 2012
and here he has Cassel .. yeah, I get it ... Super Bowl Bound
upamtn - February 4, 2012
Pioli and Crennel
Promised QB competition….
If we can get Orton signed up….we could be on to something.
Or we could sign Manning.
Never know
Matt_Grbac - February 4, 2012 via mobile
never a dull moment
upamtn - February 4, 2012
Manning's gonna laugh at this opportunity now
Buck'O - February 4, 2012
Puppet OC
Right up his alley
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
lol
fair point. Then when he retires in 3 years the team is totally fucked and we draft in the top 5 again
Buck'O - February 4, 2012
We won't stop drafting just because he's on the team.
Tarkus - February 4, 2012
That's right
because we find jems in rounds 4 and up
Buck'O - February 4, 2012
Get a QB in the first next year and sit him behind Manning for 2 years
.Perfect plan.
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
Landry Jones or Tyler Wilson learning from manning and not needing to come in and be the man
Could be a Rogersesque remedy.
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
but that would mean we would have to secure Pey-Pey as the next OC
when he retires from playing
Buck'O - February 4, 2012
Maybe he can train Daboll too
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
we need a qb i would be fine with manning for 3 years
super bowl run
niageriannit1 - February 4, 2012
I've had one of the shittiest days in a long time today
I should have seen this coming and warned others
ArrowheadHunter - February 4, 2012
that would have been nice AH
this just pissed all over a good day for me
Buck'O - February 4, 2012
I'm starting to think Daboll might not be a popular choice.
Tarkus - February 4, 2012
I hope I have to eat crow because I'm with the pitchforkin crew on this one.
GenericBrand - February 4, 2012
We will need quite a few crows
I would need some also
ArrowheadHunter - February 4, 2012
Same
dammit
Buck'O - February 4, 2012
are you kidding me?
Daboll being hired is my fucking VOTW!!!
Chief Willie Wildcat - February 4, 2012
My mistake then.
Tarkus - February 4, 2012
so you like Billy Butler, huh
upamtn - February 4, 2012
Did you have a shitty week or did I miss something?

niageriannit1 - February 4, 2012
Look at the bright side.
This gives Pioli more incentive to go after Manning, just to appease an upset fan base. Right? Right?
Tarkus - February 4, 2012
this /\ /\ /\
though unlikely
allhailhali - February 4, 2012
that move would be a bit too sexy for Pioli
I was thinking more along the lines of Kyle Orton

40%
Some people will just be happy with any hire and then the Raiders and Bolts trolls who dont have their own site worth loitering will approve to spite us.

niageriannit1 - February 4, 2012

That's awesome
I want to get some of those at some point. Maybe DT and Neil
Chief-blinders-on - February 4, 2012
OK OK OK
this hire made me raid the liquor cabinet as much as everyone else here….. but, and this is probably the captain, crown, soco, and absolut talking, but I’m sure people in NE might have been pretty irritated when they brought in under .500 BB in and he started hiring all his buddies? but, then again we don’t have Tom Brady on our roster to make everything look brilliant

Quite a few of you seem really angry/bummed out about this Daboll hire.
I don’t know the guys history yet but he was with Miami last year, And the one game I got to see of theirs they looked pretty damn good against our #12 defense. Not saying that one game validates the guy but he’s not all bad if he made Matt Moore look like a mediocre QB. He also utilized Bush much better as the season progressed. Maybe this guy can come in here and surprise some people with more talent than he’s had at any point in his career before. (Assuming his only OC experience was @Cleveland And Miami as mentioned above). Everybody should chill and give the dude a chance before you crucify the man. If we get any QB here better than Cassel (Manning, RG3, Flynn, Orton) then a chimpanzee could call plays with all the weapons we’ll have…
